Curious to know what you thought of Chumley (from PAWN STARS) on Jan Leno last night.
Ohh I'll make sure to KUID... <3 Chumlee!
Didn't see it, but would have watched it had I known. Is there a video clip of it anywhere?
Wasn't Chumley Tennessee Tuxedo's friend on those cartoons. Only Chumley I know.
That's where he got his nickname.
Oops. Meant to post this in Now Playing.
I'm glad you posted it here.
I haven't had much time to watch tv lately, and Pawn Stars is one of the few shows I make sure to watch on my Tivo.
I'm glad you posted it here too.
People comment that I look like Chumlee on a couple of my more popular Youtube videos. LOL
It's, undoubtedly, the bowler hat, bobo. *grins*
I like him a lot. He's not nearly as stupid in real life.
Pawn Stars needs to watch out because the "scripted moments" are creeping in.
Heh, didn't know there were so many other Chumlee fans. Unfortunately I dropped my Leno season pass a while ago so I won't get to see it. How did he do?
In know that I've read (probably here) that the shop is much more "touristy" than they show on TV, but how many people do they have going through that shop if a "few hundred" people a day buy the dollar bill with Chumley's picture on it?
Yeah I was suprised at how much smarter he seemed. I don't watch Pawn Stars all the time, but I have seen probably at least five episodes.
You can watch it using the link in post #4. There's an "interviews" link to the left side of the screen.
That is something that bothers me about these "reality" shows, how much of it is just scripted moments. I'm referring to the whole pawn store/storage unit auctions/ etc shows. I enjoy them because that is just something that has always interested me but it just bugs me that so much of the shows just seem fake and scripted. Like how much behind the scenes stuff goes on besides what we see on tv.
I was watching Leno last night and that guy came out. I had to google him because I had no idea who he was. Certainly didn't make me interested in watching his show.
Thanks. Well, he seems like a nice enough guy IRL, but of course it's the Chumlee character on Pawn Stars that I'm a fan of.
I think a lot of it is scripted. Certainly all the behind-the-scenes stuff. Bringing the items into the store is obviously set up. I do think the negotiations and back-and-forth about the history of the item are real.
Sorry, obviously you figured it out, but I meant the left side of the screen.
