I noticed that too. I was wondering what he's been up to. I saw he directed the 3-D episode of "Medium" two years ago and hadn't seen his name since. Quite interesting actually!

I actually thought the first 5 minutes of this episode was terrible. I didn't like how they summed up the pilot (the usual "since you didn't watch the first episode review") at all. But it got better for me and ended up liking it as much as the first one.

I watched this before last night's "Heroes" and enjoyed it much better. Ugh.

Had me laughing out loud. As well as numerous other moments, the Lost reference, the tablecloth, Weinerlicious...

Really ticking me off that all the stations here are totally butchering the signal by 4:3 cropping it. Practically every shot has a main character with half a head in the shot.

    Oh, btw, Brunette >>>>> Blonde.

The Mac guy's line was the best of the show, IMO.

Exactly my thoughts. It's like you have fun laughing, and then somebody mentions murder or killing, and then you almost feel guilty for chuckling a few minutes back. I don't know how they can get around this, because they started off the plot with a deadly spy mission, but they have to stop with the constant downers. Just let the comedy be funny.

I guess the best analogy would be The Naked Gun series. It was about spys and espianoge, but it was still side splittingly funny. I think that's the direction this show should take (without all the slapstick)

I've found it OK so far. This ep was pretty much on par with the pilot, as watchable, but not stellar. I'm getting behind on other stuff, and Monday nights are pretty crowded now, so I may not get to the next few eps right away and then I'll see if I miss it or not. With all the people who appear to be bailing, I don't have high hopes.

Oh yeah, and Captain Awesome has a pretty awesome real name, too.

I dug her as The Hot Babysitter on that show. I didn't watch the show, but walked into the room once when my wife was watching, and told her that she had to let me know the next time she was onscreen. :)

Yah, I was feeling the exact same way. It's very hard to co-mingle absolute life and death situations with goofy comedy.

Very few shows have ever gotten that right, and so far Chuck is struggling with it.

Could someone, who isn't at work at the moment, tell me if...
refers to a real porn site, or just another joke?

Irene Demova is a porn star featured in a television series named Chuck. In the television series when one does an Internet search for her name and clicks on a link to download her pictures a virus is loaded into ones computer soon after which the computer is destroyed.

The porn star Irene Demova and the computer virus related to her do not really exsist. If you are interested in real porn star photos and videos, try the following directory of over 1000 official porn star sites xxxxxxxx. If you are looking for links to porn sites in over 100 categories, try xxxxxxxx Don't worry, neither site has any virus. :)

Hell, it's been a week since Chuck aired--there's probably already a porn parody starring an Irene Demova!

Probably has to do with licensing. In Office Space several scenes take place in those restaurants but not in Chili's. They'd probably have to pay fees and get permission to show the real places. Which would be costly especially considering the low budget of the movie.

Prob the same for Chuck. They show a Large Mart tablecloth and the Building But only mention Costco.

I think another issue is product placement. Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free? I've noticed an increasing tendency in recent years to avoid using and/or to conceal brand names, and I'm sure that's the reason--you won't see or hear a product name unless somebody pays for it.

I really enjoyed the beginning with Casey running down the shoplifter but I thought the helicopter scene went on to long and didn't really enjoy it. But this is still definitely a keeper for SP and I'm looking forward to next week.

This was bad. There was some bad acting. The helicopter thing was bad (it is not easy to learn to fly a helicopter at night, 3 feet away from a crane, 50 feet above the ground).

Reaper is actually better and kinda similar (so far).

Agreed, that part was cheesy. I almost would have been better if they'd had him just "know" how based on some training data in the In-Sec(?) database. Still ridiculous, but it would have tied into the one big ridiculous premise that we've already had to swallow.
