Something very bizarre has just started happening today on my SAT-T60.

It keeps displaying the channel name in the top left hand corner of the screen.
It's using an italic, underlined font.

I started flipping channels to investigate - one of the channels also caused it to display the word "entertainment" in blue in the upper middle part of the screen.

The odd thing is I haven't made any changes to it recently. The box has been up for 22 days straight and is running software version 3.1.0c2-01-1-011. Elseed is installed and working.

I can only assume that my 2YO daughter has hit some secret key combination by accident, but I've been searching around and haven't found what could be causing it.

It's an interesting feature, but I'd like to be able to turn it off. Can someone please save my sanity?

Sounds like your TV might have gotten set to the XDS setting for closed captioning. I'd check the CC options.

In other words, it sounds like your 2YO found a secret key combo for the TV, not the TiVo :)

Aha. That makes a lot more sense. Thanks!
