I’m sure this comes as no surprise to anyone, but apparently the Eye network and Warner Brothers are in discussion to extend BBT past it’s already scheduled 12th season.

Part of the reason is the success of the spin-off Young Sheldon.

No big surprise. As much as it costs them, it still brings in a lot of money for CBS, and clearly is their ratings hit, so they will likely ride it till the end.

None of those actors will ever make this kind of cash again, so they should jump at the chance to sign up for a 13th season.

Amen. I would ride that cash cow until it ran out of milk. If they’re smart, invested wisely, they’ll only have to work again if they want to.

They already don't have to work again if they don't want to, especially with residuals they'll be getting for years to come. But another 22 episodes at $1 million per? Seems like a no brainer to me.

That’s true, I hadn’t even thought of the residuals. And BBT is on almost on the time somewhere, locally and on TBS.

    Great position to be in.

Between 2 and 1/2 Men and the BBT, Chuck Lorre is pretty much set for life (unless he pulls a Charlie Sheen).

And that's not even factoring in his other shows.

Probably several people’s lifetimes. :) If he has good attorney/management teams, he has the lion’s share of ownership and the residuals. (Of course, the divorce might have cost a few bucks).

I didn’t even know that he was EP of Mike and Molly. And 2 1/2 Men is on probably more than BBT.

I’d love to have his tax problems.

    Oh, here’s something I didn’t know.

    Chuck Lorre Net Worth

    I guess he’s doing okay.

    :)

Lorre has probably made more money from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme song than most of us will make in our lifetimes, and that's just a weird footnote in his career.

Also, Mom, which is currently at 110 episodes and being syndicated.
He gets a check any time an episode of one of his shows is broadcast.
Not to mention if foreign productions do the "Spanish version" of TBBT.
(I know that this was lucrative to the creators of Everybody Loves Raymond.)

So, unless he does do a Charlie Sheen and spends all his money on hookers and blow, he's set financially.

Assuming they don't (over-)do drugs, gambling, or paid-for sex, they passed that point many years ago . . . .

I’ve never done coke, but I’m guessing you could spend a bunch on it.

Here’s a little eye opener I found on the WWW.

    Charlie Sheen

Only worth about $20 million now, but I could squeeze by on it.

    ;)

But that's a chicken/egg type thing. I say it's more likely Charlie finagled a producers credit for Ramon rather than Ramon being able to push through a project with Charlie Sheen after the whole "winning" fiasco.

It's all affordable--just move into a middle-class home or so and live a normal, middle-class lifestyle or so. Which excludes gambling and drugs. There is no entitlement to (or need for) a Beverly Hills, multi-million-dollar-per-year lifestyle. Nor, some might suggest, is that needed for happiness.

Money won’t necessarily make you happy, but it can make you comfortable. And secure. That’s its major points for me.

Like if the tranny on you 8 year old car blows and it costs $2000 to repair/replace it. And you’re not ready to buy a new car yet.

Or, if your fridge goes from cool to heat, you can get a nicer replacement than a single door 10 cubic foot box.

And I’ve always thought that a first class flight to Paris might be nice.

    :)

While the actors in these big syndicated shows make a ton of residuals, it's the creators of the shows where the big money is at.

Larry David was worth almost 1 billion before 1/2 of that went to his ex-wife.

Ramon (the other Estevez brother) runs Estevez Sheen Productions, which is Dad's production company.
Which was one of the production companies on Anger Management.

It looks to me like Dad and the family helped Charlie get a job (I believe he was already having financial problems).
