OK-I is apparent that I will never get my local HD Waivers that I need, and it is clear that no matter how hard I try, I will never be able to get anything but my ABC affiliate OTA.

So if I were to give in and be the first of 150+ units in my condo complex to get a roof antenna, what would be the most unabtrusive and non ugly looking antenna I can get? Do any of the ones that attach directly off the dish work. I am 30 miles from the towers.

I would also recommend the Squareshooter. I have a couple on the wall of my condo. It is pointed in the opposite direction of my dish(which is on the back of the building)but everyone still thinks the Squareshooters are a couple of satellite dishes.

ok was just checking that they are generally the same direction

ch 33 is at 1000kw with tower height of 288 meters

but 35 is only 250kw but has a great height of 454, which helps immensely ,maybe even more than increased power. For comparitive sakes, I'm getting a 305kw station at 161m so I'm pretty sure you'll get yours in barring mountains etc.

the forum here http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/forumdisplay.php?f=45 will have much more specific info from your area. I only have experience with a larger antenna, it's about 3x3ft square. I'm guessing you dont want something that big on your roof. You may be able to get a smaller antenna if you have a good line of sight but unfortunately, you need to test it out as their could be things in the way that you can't see. I ran into that with my install where there was no obvious barrier yet moving the thing 1 ft left or right made a huge difference.

Here's a page with some antennas and you can see the different sizes and styles.

if you dont mind something like the 4228, I'm pretty sure you wont be disappointed. I have a DB8 from another retailer but it costs 2x as much as the 4228 and at 30 miles you probably dont need it.
