I just tested from one of my Windows 7 VM's and installed 32 bit Firefox and the latest version of Flash, but it still won't play with that configuration. So far everything I've tested leads me to believe this is an issue with Flash player.

Yup, that's the exact same issue most of us are currently experiencing.

Bummer because I finally got around to setting up a second monitor off to the left for the primary purpose of using TiVo online. (For the ultimate in Multi tasking). I hope they are actively troubleshooting what’s wrong. Are they worried people are ripping streams via PC or is it a true glitch is the question. Standing by to stand by.

Thank you for contacting TiVo Support Chat, my name is Marc Emman and I am happy to assist you. Are you a current TiVo customer (or subscriber)?

Thank you. I understand that you can't get to stream online and just get an endless blue spinning circle. Is that right?

    11:00:54 AM

    Me
That's right. The forum post there it's working for some but many it's not

    11:01:11 AM

I've tried multiple computers, one is a brand new laptop too, same results

    11:01:22 AM

    My TiVo is: xxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx

    11:01:32 AM

do I have all the latest updates etc?

    11:01:42 AM

    iOS app works ok

    11:02:02 AM

just Windows via online tivo isn't working when I go to Play

    11:02:18 AM

    home network

    11:02:22 AM

    Marc Emman
I'm sorry to hear about this. We've been receiving reports from other customers who are experiencing the same issue and upon TiVo's investigation, this is caused by a bug on our software. Have you already tried a different web browser?

    11:02:35 AM

    Me
Yes I've tried Chrome, Firefox, and Edge and 2 different computers. Cleared all history/cache/cookies, did Ingognito etc

    11:06:24 AM

It's ok if it's a bug as long as you guys are now aware and can investigate

    11:06:56 AM

I'm happy to help beta test anything new. I actually just signed up for field testing via email that you guys sent out.

    11:08:09 AM

    Marc Emman
I see. I would recommend rebooting your network by unplugging the power cable of the host DVR, the PC, the modem, and the router. After 15 seconds, power up your modem followed by the router, the pc, and the TiVo DVR in two-minute intervals. We've had 46 cases on our tracker already and our engineers are working on a resolution to bring back the streaming function online.

    11:08:09 AM

    Me
If you have anything for me to try, and the new stuff you guys have might resolve it I'm ready to help

    11:08:34 AM

    Marc Emman
Oh, a beta tester. We hope to hear from you soon. If you found anything worth mentioning, please don't hesitate to contact our Customer Phone Support at 877-367-8486 Monday - Friday, 7am-6pm PT Saturday & Sunday, 8am-5pm PT so that we could assist you and record your findings.

    11:08:58 AM

    Me
I'm not a beta tester yet, but I'd like to be

    11:09:14 AM

they didn't respond yet, says I'm not enrolled in anything yet after filling things out a couple days ago

    11:09:31 AM

    Marc Emman
I see. We actually only have limited slots available and it's on a first sign up first serve basis. But this is not the end for our field trials, we are looking forward for more within the next couple of months.

    11:10:16 AM

    Me
Ok I'll try to power cycle the TiVo

    11:10:19 AM

ok sounds like all slots are filled hopefully there is a second wave/opening soon

    11:10:39 AM

    Marc Emman
We'll let you know again via email once we need your help again. Is there anything else that I can assist you with today?

    11:11:03 AM

    Me
What's the best way to know something has been updated and to try/test online streaming again?

    11:11:26 AM

any email notification or just try and test everyt few days

    11:11:44 AM

    Marc Emman
There are no instructions about an email notification from the upper head, so it's kind of hard to give an estimated time frame for a resolution. Please give it a try at least twice a day to check.

    11:12:12 AM

    Me
Maybe the bug won't be fixed if the next generation stuff supersedes this old way soon

    11:12:17 AM

    Marc Emman
That could be possible, however, our engineers are still working on resolving this current issue.

    11:12:54 AM

    Me
    ok thanks

    11:12:59 AM

    Marc Emman
It's my pleasure to assist you today. Thank you for using TiVo chat and have a great day!

I think they are trying to work out a consulting gig with the guy who wrote this stuff but got laid off after Rovi purchase :) (just kidding)

This is only a guess, but I think they are focused on the next generation Operating System / GUI / Layout coming soon which might replace some of the streaming stuff broken today. (so no use fixing old stuff)
Again this is just a complete guess/speculation.

Oh boy.... I just upgraded one of my Premiere's to a Bolt to take advantage of the $99 lifetime offer. I had to wait for months to finally get the Guide data issue fixed by an update and now I find that I'm going to be stuck waiting for them to fix the streaming to a browser problem. I spent a few hours before I found these relevant threads, but I'm glad to see it isn't my setup. Not loving the Rovi changes.

Looks like they might actually be working on some stuff tonight... the site is really slow and didn't even give me a play button on my recordings.

Having the same endless spinning circle with my Bolt+ I have been using Tivo Desktop with my Premier for years because it was not fast enough to stream online. I will have to continue to use it with the Bolt+ until they fix the problem.
    UPDATE
I installed adobe flash on Chrome and it worked. The next time I tried it, it gave me the spinning circle. If it worked once what could be the problem? It won't work on Firefox, Opera, Edge, or Chrome.

I may or may not be part of the recent TiVO BOLT Beta program update (NDA / can neither confirm or deny) but let's just say still I'm having the same endless spinning circle with my Bolt+ via my Windows 10 computers. (all browsers) My iOS/iPhone/iPad TiVo app works perfectly though as always.

Well... *crap*. This capability was one of the reasons I grabbed the bolt upgrade offer.
    Desktop- no go. Android, fine.

So when my wife has uh, 'possession' of the TV remote, I have to watch my shows on a TELEPHONE?

    Dammit, tivo...............

This is the 2nd of three threads on this issue. First one is in the Bolt section. FYI my Bolt+ has been working @ online.tivo.com . This is bizarre that the issue has been seemingly selective, some have the issue others not.

Did notice though OP does not have a Bolt. A Roamio I believe.

I have the same issue. Support told me that the tivo software update (x.3) that is rolling out now has a fix in it. I'm still on .2. Anyone with the problem get the update yet?
