Can't watch shows at online.tivo.com

    The experience of streaming to a computer's web browser in-home is also fraught with inconsistencies. Currently no matter which of my computers I try in-home, I get constant stuttering while a program is streaming through Chrome. (I don't have Flash installed separately, so Chrome is the only way I can use online.tivo.com on a computer.) The TiVo app on my iPad and iPhones works fine in-home, but not streaming to a Mac Chrome or Windows 10 Chrome without stuttering. This has happened before...then it cleared up for a few months, then something changed and it started again. I think it's all an issue on TiVo's side of the fence...and not on our home networks or home computers. <sigh>

    Within the last few days I've lost the ability to watch shows on my Mac. The green "play" triangle is missing from almost all recorded programs. The few that do have it only give play options that do not include the recorded show on TiVo box. I'm using a Roamio Plus. Same problem with Safari, Firefox, and Chrome. None of them work.

    To make things worse, the iPad app has stopped working. Symptom there is click on "Watch now" and button changes to "Get this show". Tap that and choices are "Record this episode" or "Add this streaming video". What the heck is going on?

    Same here and I just spent about 2 hours on the phone with TiVo tech support yesterday and they have no clue. I agree that with the symptoms and the fact that it has worked in the past they have some issues with the TiVo online web based application, maybe brought about by updates to flash? I'm about ready to just sell my TiVo stream on ebay as it's pretty much useless if all it can play on are mobile devices. Wish they would bring back a standalone program for Win/Mac/Linux, that would solve the problem for good.

    I guess my problem is a hardware issue. After 2.5 hours on the phone with TiVo support they decided that the unit needs to be exchanged. I very nearly went crazy listening to the TiVo hold music!!

    I just updated my Chrome Browser (for Mac) this week. The new version is
    59.0.3071.115 (Official Build) (64-bit).

    This version will no longer play any videos from my Bolt (using online.tivo.com). I had been using Chrome for months until this upgrade). I AM able to play video using Safari and Firefox with no problem.

    Does anyone have an idea why this got broken.

    The error I receive is

    Problem Playing Show
    We are unable to detect your TiVo streaming device from this location. If you are currently away from home, streaming video is not supported at this time.

    I am playing the video on my home network where I have always had success. I have also restarted the Tivo Bolt with no success with this Browser.

    Doesn't TiVo Online rely on Adobe Flash for playing content? With recent versions, Google Chrome has gotten more restrictive on allowing Flash content to play by default so you might check the following.

    I checked it all and made sure Flash was active. Still a no-go.

    Yesterday my Bolt upgraded to version20.7.2.RC24-USC-11.
    online.tivo.com stopped being able to playback any videos. I can see saved shows, but when I try to play them, it just hangs like it's loading something. This hapens in three different Browsers on the Mac, as well as also happening on two different Browsers on a PC. I am on the local network, and can play back saved shows using an iphone or ipad.
    Has anyone else noticed this since the upgrade?
