Since RCN installed two TiVo DVRs in my house a month ago, I have not been able to transfer shows from one DVR to the other. The named DVR and icon does appear in Now Playing, but when I click on the DVR I get either a blank screen or a message saying "there are no shows recorded on this DVR", when in fact there are several recorded shows that should be appearing on the screen. This is true for each TiVO DVR. TiVo Customer Service has had me do re-starts and reconnections in various ways but 4 weeks later, still doesn't work! Anyone have an idea of how to fix this?

From TiVo Central -> Messages & Settings -> Account & System Information

-> "System Information" check The status of TiVoToGo should be a,a,a

-> Media Access Key verify both TiVo's MAK's are the same.

If TiVoToGo is not a,a,a or the MAK's are not the same you need to contact RCN and activate MRV for the TiVo(s).

Thanks, I'll check later! What does MRV stand for?

Just to make sure, can you access each TiVo's Now Playing List from your web browser? Go to https://{TiVo IP}. Login with username 'tivo' and your MAK as the password.

The OP isn't seeing any recordings on the remote Now Playing, though. If it was CCI byte-related he'd see the list of recordings with the red circle/slash icon.

At the very least, try rebooting your router.
Do you have a firewall set up on your router?
That could also be a source of problems.
