can't get tv/video

    I just got tivo a couple days ago and have it working nicely.

    I have pay per view and video on demand through my cable company, which I can't access through the tivo box. The manual says I need to access these channels directly through the cable box, but when I use the tv/video button all I get is a snowy screen.
    I assume (hope) it is something simple but I keep drawing a blank. Is there a certain channel I need to go to? Is there other hookup?
