I was impressed with the show. Loved the bad-ass Jimmy Smits. He does it well. I moved up this SP to make sure nothing conflicts.

 

I love Jimmy Smits, love Hector! Really eager to commit to this show. It's too violent and upsetting for me. Darnit!

 

I thought the plot lines and characters were eerily like The Godfather but with a Hispanic cast and some dialogue subtitled for spanish translation instead of italian.

 

We watched the Pilot and liked it so much I had to check if I'd made a Season Pass--good grief No, and Episode 2 starts in 15 minutes! Tivo to the rescue, and glad we have the two tuner S3.

Too bad "Cane" is stuck on "the Old-Timer's network"--best new show so far we think and a clear winner if it can survive CBS!

Finally got around to watching this last night. Not bad. If it doesn't get too melodramatic it could be fun. The season previews look like there are some interesting plot twists.

 

We watched Episode 2 last night... terrific... we are hooked on this series! Animgif can you change the thread title to "Best new series...Cane" or something. We gotta get more people watching this.

I'm surprised at myself cuz the previews for it this summer did not inspire me at all, but the wife likes Smits so I gave it a try. "The Sopranos" meets "Miami Vice" indeed! Eye-and-ear candy aplenty, and a good story so far.

Already paranoid about missing an episode--will be triple-checking tonight's recording for sure!
