If I use this device w/o cablecard as slave to 3tb Roamio Pro can Bolt also receive and record OTA from outdoor antenna and also view recorded content on Pro?

6 tuner Tivo DVRs are digital cable only, no OTA.

    Such as Roamio Plus/Pro, Bolt+
Except there are Premiere 4/XL4, 4 tuners and digital cable only as well.

Yes, that will do either OTA or digital cable.

However, I would not buy it because Bolts use 2.5" hard drives and upgrading is a horror story.
No one yet is broadcasting in 4K, only some streaming services, perhaps.

Recommendation to buy is Roamio, OTA model is OTA only and if you can find the basic model, it can do digital cable or OTA.

Didn't really need to start a whole 'nother thread.

Bolt 500k Slave to Roamio Pro 3tb?

First, there's no such thing as a "slave" DVR. A DVR is a DVR.

And, yes, the 4-tuner BOLT DVR can be setup to tune and record OTA content (or via CableCARD), and can access content on other DVRs via the rules of TiVo MRV and MRS.

Its more like the drive isn't lasting as long as the 3.5"

Ah. I haven't seen many reports of that. It may be that it's too early to tell? I thought that the Toshiba 3TB was working well for people. Not the case?
