Is there any way to convince any TiVo box to use OTA for channels that are received, and Cablecard/Xfinity for the remainder?

    Thanks!

Or buy a 2-tuner Premiere, if you'd want TiVo support for doing so.

The separate coax inputs is a critical indicator:

Just thinking. How would a Mini fit into this sort of configuration?

Not well, without a 4-tuner Premiere or later series host DVR ALSO on the home network.

I hadn't considered that I'd need to buy a manually-activated switch to choose antenna vs. cable. But I guess it makes sense since they share the same frequencies for some of the channels. My hope was to have TiVo record off antenna when possible and off cable when not.

We have a Roamio Pro for recording from cable, and a Roamio OTA for recording from OTA antenna. The last TiVo DVR designed to record from both simultaneously was the 2-tuner Premiere.
