Still loving this show. I can understand why it isn't mainstream though.

    Is anyone else even watching?

What exactly is Dutch doing to be employed by Contra? It went from last episode him being around a lot due to the hot chick's dad to him being an employee this episode.

Loved Dutch's line about using a bra clasp to secure the DVD. :D

Also liked the nod to his time on Smallville with the Superman shirt. :)

I'm watching. I'm loving. Every episode has me chuckling. Loved the Broken Arrow comment. This role could not be more perfect for Slater. I hope it lasts forever.

I don't think it is a nod to Smallville but back to the Goonies movie where Sloth was wearing one.

Ditto! It allows Slater to be that snarky know everything guy he perfected in the 80's. I can't get over how good he looks still...... I am also loving the computer hacker guy that was on Reaper. It makes me happy to see both of them in something!

You missed the exchange between Oz and Cameron after Dutch helped out with the Racing Pit crew.

Oz said that they needed a good wheel man (although I'm not sure if he means as a driver or a mechanic or both) and he'd brought on Dutch full time.
No doubt he also did it to screw with Cameron.

    BTW, another funny episode.
I like how the series is going.

Ah, I didn't just miss a scene, I missed an episode!

Turns out I was hiding in my closet listening to tornado sirens while it was airing. :D

Wow, to me this show is so MEH. I feel like I saw it already... It was called Reaper! The devil is now Christian Slater. We've got the love interest he can't get, and the crazy friend (though Sock was WAY better). I want to like it, but it just keeps falling short for me.

Never saw Reaper. And Christian Slater being this character is all I need to know I love it. He's flawless.

Too many problems with this episode. The main one I couldn't get over was, Oz said that the DVD was heavily encrypted so nobody could copy it, yet that website with the countdown was (supposedly) all set to release it for download. (Besides, if it could be downloaded, obviously the guy had a copy on at least one hard drive.)

I thought it was just going to be aired from the guys computer, not available for download. I'll have to go rewatch that because seems my computer pirating brain should have picked that up right away.

When I saw a preview for this episode, I noticed the superman shirt and thought it was a Smallville nod.

Then when I watched the complete episode I realized they were setting him up as Sloth with the shirt PLUS the swollen face peanut reaction.

So first I was wrong, then I was right!

I'm loving this show too. And yeah, it's a lot like Reaper, and I loved Reaper!! The only thing I can see happening though is it getting old because the show will basically be the same thing every week. But for now I'm loving the ride.

I'm really enjoying the show overall, and glad to see Slater get a TV role that seems to fit him so perfectly, but I had the same questions as Don. If the thief could decrypt the DVD, then getting back the physical disc is irrelevant. And if he couldn't decrypt the DVD, then him having stolen it is irrelevant. Either way, it just didn't make sense. Seemed like just an excuse to use ComiCon as a backdrop for the episode without really thinking about how the geeks who will appreciate ComiCon will also be more critical of the storyline if it doesn't make sense.

I, too, am loving this show. And from what I've gleaned of you from here, I think you'd really like Reaper. I loved it.

Maybe I'll grab it over the summer then. I'm still catching up on a few other shows that I downloaded for similar reasons! :)
