I know I'm in the minority, but I always "endured" Aaron on Breaking Bad because Cranston (and Saul) and the show were so good. So a movie with only Aaron doesn't appeal to me that much. I'll still watch, of course :)

As for Westworld, my vote is: "it's an ok show". You can watch it if you like but I don't consider it a "are you crazy? you've never seen it?!" kind of show. Not at all.

This concludes my use-double-quotes quota for the month.

I liked Jesse's character a lot, but I totally agree with you about Westworld.

I found the premise and idea fantastic, but when it got to be all "inception" like and you couldn't (without really trying) figure out who's a robot and who isn't (and when), I just gave up. Maybe it's just me, but I watch TV to be entertained and get away from reality... not to be entered into a constant AP test and try and figure out all the twists and turns and flashbacks and flashforwards and replaying of reality, blah blah blah.

I found Breaking Bad to be the perfect mix of great and smart entertainment without requiring too much "figuring it all out" to just figure out the plot (like WW).

This was my problem with Westworld--who's real and who's not? I only made it through 4 or 5 episodes, so I keep thinking I should try again. Or not.

Breaking bad was awesome. Won't be as good without Cranston, but I'll give it a try.

The first season of Westworld was pure genius (although yes, it requires you pay close attention, and I know that's not always in fashion these days). The second, not so much. The third looks like a radical shift; we shall see if it's for the better.

Well, it is a sequel really, not a prequel. (Yeah, I know they could do flashbacks, but that could be gimmicky.)

this, but only if you enjoy science fiction - while it has such a minor impact on the incredible storytelling, some just can't seem to get past it (my sisters).

    WHAT!?!

But honestly I see why you'd say that. His character was meant to be "endured" for so much of the show. That was kind of the point but man, by the end, all I wanted was for him to get out alive. He was a punk at the start but he went through so much because of Walt that he did not deserve.

I feel exactly the same way. I endured the first two seasons of WW because it seemed like a show I should watch. About halfway through S2, I realized, "hey, I'm not really enjoying this. It's really a slog to get through, and I have no idea what's even going on until I go online and read articles about it." I toughed out S2, but I won't be back for S3.

No argument here. I was rooting for him to make it as well.

Let me put it another way, then: without Walter and Saul, I just don't think Jesse is an interesting enough character. I don't want a show or movie about Skyler, either. I'm sure Vince will do a good job; and I'm sure I'll still enjoy it. But I hereby resolve not to be too excited about it! :p

Oh lord! I wouldn't want a movie about Skyler either. Or Marie. I would have watched one about Hank but alas.... :(

Just bought a ticket to see this at the local Alamo Drafthouse on 10/11. Looks like this is the only theater showing it in the Twin Cities, and it only has three showings.

I'd watch a series with each of Skyler and Marie, or with both of them together as the antidote to Walter and Jesse (whom I enjoyed watching as well). :) Shades of "Thelma and Louise."

YES I was just coming to post that I bought tickets for here in Columbus. Very excited for some big screen Breaking Bad! I hope we get Walt in flashbacks.

Gonna see it at Alamo in Tempe on 10/11.

I suspect only Alamo and other indies are willing to show a Netflix movie like this.
