I just bought a 180 hour Series2 Dual Tuner Tivo. I also have a Series2 that I upgraded with a Weakness kit a while back so it has about 330 hours of basic record time. What do I have to do to wipe my old unit clean before I try and sell it? I know the Tivo software has a clean and delete function, but does that also erase my information?

I purchased the three year pre-pay plan for the new unit but the old unit is on the month to month plan at $12.95 so I want to de-activate it as soon as possible.

    TIA - Dennis

Clear and Delete restores the box to the "factory" state, so that's what you want to do. It wipes out everything.

Well, maybe your choice of season passes could tell others a lot about you...

Why would the new buyer care who your favorite actor was and that you watch Super Sweet 16?
The person already know a great deal about you when the item was sold - your email address, ebay account, paypal account etc...

Thanks for your reply. I thought that's what I wanted to do but I wanted to make sure.
