Bolt won't format new drive

    I bought a new Bolt last October direct from Tivo, and the first thing I did was install a new 2TB drive which formatted and worked fine. Since then that Bolt started having problems, so they sent me a "new" (refurb) Bolt, and it works fine with its 500GB drive. But so far I cannot get it to format and use a different hard drive. I've tried a 2TB and I've tried a 160GB, just to see if it would work, but it just sits there forever saying it is starting up (using the modern UI). Any ideas what is going on, and how to format a larger drive as other models have automatically done in the past? TIA

    Revert to the older TE3 user interface, then try it again. The latest version of TE4 is screwed up (to say the least) when it comes to auto-formatting drives.

    Thank you. And for those who don't know--like I didn't--what I should have done first thing with this new unit was convert it to TE3 by going to help and settings, reset to defaults, repeat setup, thumbs down twice, left << twice.
