Bolt tuner not working error v53

    Bought a used Bolt.
    Noticed it sometimes would not tune in properly.... error v53 sometimes with and sometimes without a picture.

    Tryed some of the fixes here on the forum including restarting via remote and also unplugging, tuning to the blank channel and running signal strength test, etc etc.

    Figured out tuner #2 was not working. Black screen with the "Problem with the signal on this channel. Trying again. V53" message on all channels, tuner 2...only a problem on tuner 2.
    The other tuners work fine.
    Should I return the Tivo (ebay) or is there an easy fix?

    It's not an easy fix. You should return it. Procedure to validate:
    Restart box.
    Look at Diagnostics.
    All tuners will be on the same channel and therefore have the same numbers.

    I had the tuners set to different channels to identify the one not working (tuner 2 set to channel 804) and not displaying a picture. I'm not too familiar with the bolt so it is how I identified which tuner was which.

    Returning the unit.
