Very recently I sometimes cannot permanently delete some recordings. After a reboot I can.
When I called TIVO they wanted to swap my unit. I have noticed this only happens when I delete something which is either currently recording or if I quit before the end of a recording. In the latter case I can replay the recording to the end and then it deletes OK.
This is obviously a software not a hardware problem.

I get that sometimes. Been a bug for years. I think it's the cause of people using KUID that find programs deleted. But I just do a restart and that always works to kill the program. I kill any program that I delete that is not new or missing SM. It makes the Deleted Programs folder look nicer. Also, when the last program in that folder gets killed by the TiVo, your disk is physically full. Then I delete the whole month. It's just a habit I started years ago.

TiVo is really trying hard to swap units. I wonder why?
