Bolt freezes when using apps

    I've got 2 Tivo Bolt's. Whenever I try to use the apps (NetFlix, Hulu, Amazon Prime), it freezes/locks the entire Tivo. Reboot and then it'll work fine *for that app*. Try a different app and same thing.

    I don't recall having this issue until Tivo introduced the pre-show ads and/or Tivo +.

    Anyone else having this issue?
    And short of using a Roku/Fire device, any fix/workaround for this?

    if you believe it's related to pre-roll ads, you can request they be removed by contacting customer service.

    Yes ! Happening to us as well, and irritating as hell ! You're right - seems like this started happening right after Tivo + was introduced. Eager to get a fix to this as well - sick of having to re-boot Tivo over and over again...

    This is exactly also happening to me. This makes sense that Tivo+ is to blame. However I asked if they would remove it, and they would not.

    Yes. No. You already have your answer, which is to not use Tivo apps.
