I'm asking what DNS name (versus IP address) do our TiVo's use for service connections. They apparently use i.tivo.com for images and that's using Akamai for CDN. I'm curious to see what IP address the service connection resolves to (there's also mind.tivo.com but not sure if that's used for service connections).

My service connection is succeeding but no software update yet for our Roamio Pro.

Oh no, not another software 'update'. I guess I need to adjust my attitude but anything new now, with Tivo/Rovi software, concerns me deeply.

Oh crap! I see 'pending restart' on my Bolt. Fingers crossed! :)

I got RC13. Everything seems fine and snappy.

Wonder if they messed something up prepping for the update.

Yeah, speaking of 'snappy' I noticed that right away. It seems like, over the years no matter which Tivo, after any restart the machines are a bit sluggish for a short while. As soon as I restarted it and everything was up again it was moving very quickly. So far, nothing else different for me except that the icons came back for my streaming services that are listed in 'My Shows'.

I personally do not care about anything except why stupid Tivo, Inc cannot MODIFY the software to NOT affect the local box AT LEAST when it comes to entries in My Shows. It was highly insane for several hours last night.

It is a bit of a pain to disconnect from the internet when one has a Moca setup, again because of their ridiculous coding that has been in there forever with regards to the network. I have to plug the ethernet cable back in Because it won't go back to ethernet without it being plugged in. Then I have to set it all up again since it does not remember IP addresses (I use static IP's for all my devices) and then again unplug the ethernet cable. Then when I want to go to sleep, I have to go back to Moca so my Mini works and have to set it up all again. COME ON TIVO, INC...:eek:o_O:mad::cool::D

DOES ANYONE HAVE AN EASIER WAY TO DISCONNECT IN THESE SITUATIONS? THANKS.

The easiest way I have found is to use the "parental controls" feature of your router to block i.tivo.com during prime viewing hours when BSC's are worst.

Hmm no issues here in VA. Watched 3 different shows tonight and browsed Netflix.

Having brief delays here, but no circles. But slower than normal. Just when I think the circle will appear, the GUI gets updated.

I had them last night when going into a program in the list. Pretty brief, in comparison to before. Maybe 3 to 5 seconds. I did not see them this morning before I left for work.

I had them bad Thursday night. I've noticed that my iOS app doesn't really work either when the blue circles are bad. I couldn't even connect with my box via the app that night.

I am getting long delays at times doing almost anything, is this fixable and why is this issue still going on so long??????

If I didn't have lifetime I would be trying Tablo or something else already. The TiVo apps suck and mostly useless compared to the devices and if I keep getting 10 second plus long delays simply trying to watch a recording, TiVo might be going on Ebay soon.

Yeah, I've been seeing some spinny-circles again lately. It's always when I want to, super quickly, navigate something and then I'm stuck waiting for the spinny circle to move on. Frustrating.
