I know this question will light up the community, but all of a sudden MY TIVO started recording All American Muslim in Tivo suggestions. COME ON!!!!! I know Muslims aren't all violent, but the religion is not consistent nor is it conducive to how the American government goes about with its world policy. I am not looking for an education about Islam. You that would try, know that those in the world that "represent" Islam do not look at the U.S. as a friend. Personally, I don't give a $hl+ how (in no particular order) Muslims, Catholics, Jewish, Jehovah's Witnesses, Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians, atheists, agnostics, etc. live. I just know we Americans (including the aforementioned legal citizens) represent the infidel in many of their eyes (mostly internationally...could I be more apologetic) outside this country and they (the violent Muslims) continue to attempt to infiltrate (and have infiltrated) this country. Lowe's (my most popular shopping place) pulled its advertisements from the show. Now Tivo is spending my Tivo suggestions and electricity recording this religiously oriented show that I would never watch. How do you feel?

    Yes! :thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

P.S. OMG! I'm limited to 8 images in one post so I could only put 8 thumbs down at the end.

Calm down, your TiVo would have recorded something regardless. Just give the show 3 thumbs down and it should stop recording it eventually.

    Lighten up, Francis. ;)

Do you think there is some conspiracy involved with the Tivo recording that specific program?
If not, chalk it up to the simplest explanation.
The Tivo recognized a new show and recorded it as a suggestion because it was a new show.
If you hate it that much, give it 3 thumbs down and it won't be recorded again.

BTW, I agree with you about the non-Tivo related subject matter. We might be able to talk about that in the Happy Hour forum as long as things stay civil.
If you're that passionate about it, start a thread there. I'd be willing to participate.

Actually, this country was founded on religious freedom. I see not all of us live up to the principles by which we were founded and would have caused the great experiment to fail had this attitude been prevalent at that time.

I don't watch the show but only because I'm not interested but true freedom means others have the right to be different from you without fear for being different. If you fear them or they fear you then we're not really free, are we...

You saying some of them are prejudice and willing to condemn an entire people because of the actions or attitude of a few??? I wonder where they got that from???

    OMG!!

You certainly could use an education. Perhaps you could star in your own reality show The Ugly-American.

Interestingly enough, in the original book "The Ugly American", the ugly American was one of the good guys, an ag extension agent living and working with the locals, and only called that because he was "non-handsome".

That book, and its sequel, "Sarkhan", are excellent reading for anyone wanting insight into how we screwed up in SouthEast Asia in the Vietnam era, and how we've screwed up in relations with non-white countries in general.

In the early days of TiVo someone wrote an article about how their's had decided that they were a gay Nazi, based on the suggestions it made, which was based on the TiVo software's analysis of the stuff they had watched (apparently they'd looked at something on the History Channel back when it was commonly referred to as the Hitler Channel, and a guest had looked at a fashion or cooking show or something like that).

Have you watched anything lately having to do with any flavor of religion, or maybe one of those "stuff out of the Book of Revelations" movies?

Watched any of the other "common people acting common" reality shows?

Or maybe you're actually an undercover Muslim passing as a, well, what you come off as, and your TiVo is onto you.:)*

*had to snip your 8 thumbs down to get the smiley in.

    Let's see, Iran.

Oh yeah, the country whose democratically elected government we overthrew back in the '50s and re-installed the much-hated Shah to keep the oil companies happy, which eventually led to the 1979 uprising and the not really democratic at all form of government they have now.

I feel like wedgecon. Take a chill pill. I doubt TiVo is trying to push a Muslim agenda.
