I enjoyed this episode. And we should probably have a proper episode thread.

I liked how the solution to last week's tattoo was the key to solving the next one. Kind of lame that they depicted drones as being invisible, as if a plane flying over a city of 20 million people would not be seen by someone.

Do we really think Jane Doe executed a nun, or will we find out down the road that was someone in disguise?

And do we think she'll turn out to be Taylor Shaw? Is that Weller's sister, or just a neighbor/friend? It seems a little early in the series for them to already figure out who she is.

We already did...in the last flashback, we saw that the nun's habit was just a disguise.

I noticed that too but why was she still spazzing about it towards the end of the episode.

Is she going to kick some guy's butt next week after being left alone in the hallway again? The first two episodes had essentially the same scene.

Lucky that the first clue they solved was the first one. Hope we later find out that it wasn't and they miss stopping some crime from happening.

Taylor Shaw can't be blood related to Weller. DNA testing would have revealed it.

My guess is one of them (Weller, his sister, or Taylor) is adopted.

Well, since Shaw has a different last name than Weller, the obvious answer is she was a neighbor, not a sister...

    Somewhere...
That is what I am thinking since it sounded like Weller's dad was suspected of kidnapping her and murdering her. Just they way the story was told didn't make me think she was a family member.

We saw that the person had on pants and had some kind of fancy flash drive. Was that supposed to telegraph that it wasn't a nun?

The reason I first thought sister was because when Weller was telling the tree story, he said "we were climbing a tree in our backyard." Using "our" in that context would mean both of their backyard, not just his.

I did find it odd that the NYC office of the FBI is investigating what has to be the most clear and present threat against the city, and yet there were only three agents dispatched to Brooklyn to find/stop the guy, meaning Weller had to resort to using Jane Doe as his "partner" when the team had to split up. Perfect for a TV show plot where they are the two stars, but ridiculous as far as FBI procedure goes.

The "our" was in reference to he and his own sister, to whom he was speaking.

I guess you're probably right, but it seems like in that situation, the more proper phrasing would be "we were climbing a tree in the backyard," since between he and his sister, there's no need to specify which backyard.

It had that particular day's date in it, so there probably isn't going to be anything earlier.

It looked to me like she was wearing some type of military uniform under the nun's outfit.

It's already nearing the point where there can be no satisfying answer to the mystery surrounding her tattoos/her situation. I'm still enjoying it, though.

I got a strong impression that it was a man under the nun outfit.

I'm not sure why it has to be a fake nun for it to be a justifiable killing.

It just makes it easier to cast doubt on her assumption that she's a terrible person.

I mean, personally I think there's a vast nun overpopulation problem and culling the herd is the responsible and humane thing to do, but I seem to be in the minority on that issue... :D
