    That was my thought too.

I think it is impossible for this to even happening, but who knows.

Yeah, the more I think about it, even if they are not done with the show it has at least already started filming, so there is no way they can be on it.

    What a relief.

Plus it made sense with Survivor people, but Big Brother is less popular than Amazing Race, why would they do that kind of casting. It would make more sense to put Amazing Race people on Big Brother.

Not necessarily. IIRC, when the show was on twice each season, the fall version was filmed around July/August, and the spring version was filmed around November/December.

Since I don't watch BB, I definitely don't want to see this. But as someone who loves Survivor and loved seeing Rob and Amber on TAR, I can see how people who like BB might want to see this. I just don't think that BB has nearly the fanbase that Survivor has, so it may not be enough to make much of a difference in the ratings.

Just read the first three words. Out of context.

(I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that...)

"Brother" is slang for "African American male."

    Man, I feel old now...

That was my point though. The Survivor carry over was to help boost TAR. I don't think they would see the same boost with the Donatos.

Plus I would take a baseball bat to my 65" tv.

Like I said in the OP it's all rumors and buzz so who knows. It may be that CBS is wanting them for a 2008-2009 season race.

I'm really hoping it'll fall through. I think Big Brother is a different animal from The Amazing Race. While Dick and Danielle's game play in BB may have been acceptable, it's just too extreme for a show like TAR and it'll just bring the show down. But you know these stupid networks, if the ratings went up for Big Brother 8, they'll think D&D were responsible and that they can do the same for TAR.

As for Survivor vs. Big Brother, a contestant from Big Brother has already been on TAR, two seasons before Rob and Amber were on. Here's the team bio: http://www.cbs.com/primetime/amazing_race5/teams/alison/bio.shtml
    She didn't last long!

Did anyone else hear Chenbot talking to Danielle about it at the end of the finale? I could have sworn she was saying that they'd be great on AR, just as they were cutting away ,,, showing the crowd on the stage . Moments before the show ended.

That's been reported elsewhere. Also Dick supposedly responded to the effect that it would help him and Danielle continue to repair their relationship. Yeah right!

I think Dick's reaction was the opposit...as if to say: No way! That would ruin it!

And I'm sure it would. I'm not a regular fan of TAR but I've seen the way best friends and SOs start fighting on that show. This would be a horrible idea for those two if they wanted to continue to have a good relationship.

I voted no. I had enough of them. I know that their types make for compelling TV, but I think thats true in short doses, but it gets old quick. And to me, the fun of TAR is not so much the abrasive personalities, but the race itself and the various tasks

Dick did say he was headed for a "trip around the world" or something to that effect. He may already be booked on AR.
