I’m that way with Survivor & Amazing Race. I could probably point out the winners, but I couldn’t give you much more info. I think it’s the live feeds that make it stick. I can’t remember full casts for all seasons of BBCan either as I watch the episodes but not much of the feeds.

Yeah, that makes sense. When you watch the live feeds you get to know the players much more intimately, and you are also privy to all the minute details surrounding every key move in the game.

TV Guide has a cast list, but it seems outdated. It lists 19 players, but no pictures so it could just be a placeholder. (My guess is that it is an outdated list that includes alternates as well)

LOL... True... They should refer to the show as BB Alums (i.e., Big Brother: Alumni Edition) instead of as "All-Stars"...

According to the Big Brother facebook page, it's going to be the first ever LIVE move-in and cast reveal during next week Wednesday's premiere.

Big Brother operates a bit differently than other shows, in my opinion. For this show, some of the non-winners are just as much - if not more - of an All-Star than then winners. On this show, stardom is as much about making a splash and being an entity that the audience is talking about (good or bad) as it is about winning the game. All-Stars means they were a star of the show, which most of these certainly were.

Even Survivor's last season, mentioned earlier in the thread, was a "all-winner's" season, not an all-stars (i.e., the season name was "Winners at War"). Reality TV All-stars is just a completely different concept than something like baseball's all-stars game.

Did I mention how much I'm looking forward to this show being on?!? Hopefully with fewer new shows available to audiences, BB will pick up some new fans and viewers.

I think for something like Jersey Shore, I'd agree. That's a show about conflict and stardom and screen time. All-Stars to me means best players. I know that earlier list has been debunks, but if we see players who got voted out early on an All-Stars list, it makes no sense. Since there's a winner, you have to consider how they played the game as a factor on being an All-Star. These players are trying to win. That should be the ultimate goal. What was so great about Survivor this past season, is that they ALL won, and they ALL had some idea of how to do it again. It made the play so interesting. Throwing random players in and saying they are All-Stars having never even come close to winning. I guess All-Stars is just a generic term they are using. Maybe just returnees is more accurate.

Normally they are in the house about a week before we see the first episode, and it gives production time to start editing the stories before we see them. This live move-in, I don't think it will be as good as what we've seen before. And this is based on what I've seen when I saw how they do the live move-in's in the UK. I thought it was a hot mess. This should be interesting to see if they can make it better.

Of all the players on that list, Amber makes the least sense to me. About the only thing I remember about her was that Beastmode Cowboy had a major crush on her and it totally creeped her out. Did she actually do anything of substance to influence her season?

The producers vote, Allstars on TV bring ratings that's all they care about.

While it would be awesome, I'm not sure an all winners season would even be doable on Big Brother. For starters, there are only half as many seasons of Big Brother as there are Survivor seasons, so the pool of winners is smaller. On top of that, Big Brother is a much bigger time commitment than Survivor. Three months is a long time to be completely cut off from society, and many former winners now have families and/or careers that weren't a factor when they first played.

Someone mentioned once getting all the first-evicteds in to play the game. That might be interesting in that we find some great undiscovered personalities in there, or it may go as expected and make us realize why they were first off.

It’s an odd choice if she’s on for sure. But it does suck that her first chance was ruined by something out of her control. Caleb had a crush on her at the start. That defined her game, and she was eventually voted out for not reciprocating his feelings.

Edit: She did win an HOH comp. I remember Derrick freaked out at the suggestion of being nominated as a pawn for Battle of the Block.

It looks like the second episode is a full week later so the move-in episode is sort of a preview until we get on a normal schedule.

It makes no sense, but CBS has been saying that’s a repeat/recap of the premiere.

Wonder if they're copying America's Got Talent? Showing a repeat on the weekend to try to drum up some more views. Or maybe it will have editing and narrative added to what happened on the live show earlier in the week.

Well, it did show as a repeat on the ViacomCBS Press Express site, but now it says it’s new.
