She had to either steal someone elses present or grab a new one. She didn't know it was handcuffs. She still should have taken the TV, but she didn't choose the handcuffs directly over the TV.

No - ED bullies and intimidates the JEN. Why? Because she deserves it. I can't think of a single person that has previously been in the BB house who is as self-absorbed as Jen is. Out of every single cast member and every single season... Jen hasn't displayed a single redeeming quality. Some of the other previous narcisistic "characters" at least displayed a (few) redeeming qualities. She has yet to do so...

What about the guy that got kicked out for threatening to slit another HG's throat? I don't think he was very redeemable after that :p

As much as Jen? Sure... but he wasn't near as self absorbed... not even in the same ballpark...

Same could be said for Jase... incredibly narcisistic, but not nearly as self absorbed as Jen.

Yeah there point was though it was dumb to not take the sure thing of something good like the TV. She couldn't get the Veto, because it would have been taken from her. So while she did not directly choose the handcuffs over the tv, she chose not to take the handcuffs, knowing she would get something unknown and that it would NOT be the veto for her to keep.

You could not argue it both ways. How many gallons does "the spinning teacup in the back yard" hold. Well, the spinning teacup in the back yard has a big honking hole in the side!

    Agreed.

But the sad thing is i bet Jen thought the teacup with NO holes would hold 41 gallons. Hey the other hamsters couldn't follow directions, so I guess the smartest of the dumbest got it right.

Oh and the veto comp where someone won the TV reminded me of last year when Boogie and Will kept hording prizes...

Will - Did you win the power of Veto
Mike - No I won a plasma TV and a trip to Aruba. Did you win it?
    Will - No I won $10k..
    Both - HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

True, so far it has only been Jen, and it doesn't really bother her*. Do you think he'd be nice to Kail if she put him up next week? Or Jessica? Jen hasn't really done anything directly to him besides the nominations and a comment she made the first week. She's incredibly self-absorbed, and I think she understands that. He's almost as bad (especially with the name-dropping), but he's a bit older and should be more mature.

*I think this is her redeeming quality. She knows it is a game, and she is not intimidated by Dick or afraid to tell Amber what not to throw the veto, etc. She's far from my favorite, but she's not the worst ever.

I'm in total agreement. Just nitpicking that she didn't actually DIRECTLY choose cuffs over the TV, though indirectly she clearly did. Also, I didn't think they knew what the prizes were, did they? It's possible she thought the veto was one and the other one was better than the TV. As pointed out above, I would have preferred the 10k last year to a TV.

I like that Jen acted completely oblivious to what others believed to be a "crossing the line" way to play the game. As if intimidation techniques were not only acceptable, but expected. I don't know how to explain it, but I liked that it was just a-matter-of-factly put, "You use it, I'll send Dustin home, okay?" I guess that made it even more threatening.

I firmly believe that Jen is one of the few players that understands that this is just a game (Evil Dr. Wil being the master). Too many players (paging Amber) allow their emotions to cloud their game. Unfortuantely, I think Jen's actual game play is poor and, because of the that, I don't think she will last long in the game.

Ok, that is a RIOT when someone ELSE does it. Not so much when she does it herself.
