They do this on all the shows - I know Survivor does it too.

The producers don't care who wins - they want ratings. They need to keep the people that the audience tunes in to watch.

    Back From...
I know, I feel the same way. It's a weird feeling.
Oh thanks! I've now visualized that reunion and it's shocked me back into reality. I'd like to see Rachel at the end for drama's sake, but no way would I want her to win! :D

You have to admit - a Rachel/Jordan F2 would be ratings gold...

I watched one of Evel Dick's webcast shows that had several former house guests. They all said that the producers never told them what to do, that they only suggested strategies and scenarios that they should consider. They were pretty emphatic that the players still controlled the game, the producers just fed them ideas.

I had to laugh when it said to Porsche "they should've named you after a car with a bigger trunk. ZING!!!" That's pretty harsh... But she took it like good sport. There was another comment about her butt in another episode... Has she gained weight since being in the house?

Overall, I'm enjoying the twists and turns. I can't quite get on the Rachael train yet... I'm hoping one of the newbies really steps up big in the upcoming episodes. If they don't, then I honestly don't know WHO I'm rooting for any more... I'm still having fun though. A lot of back and forth this season. ;)

    People's...
She and Kalia do alot of boredom eating in the house. So yes, Porsche has grown from a mid to full-sized :)

Really? And you believe it? It's totally manipulated, overtly and covertly (subliminal?) to get the outcome that gets the best ratings.

Now we need to see the "before" picture to compare. :p

ETA: I'm sure if I were in there I'd come out bigger than I went in too. ;)

This must all be in the live feeds. Because from what they show on CBS, Shelly does not deserve the level of criticism I'm hearing. Yes, from what they edit and air on CBS, she talks about the lying aspect more than other HG's...but as I said that is from the perspective of a mother who is aware her daughter is watching. Most other HG's don't come from this perspective becuase they usually cast a bunch of people in their mid-20's or younger...and a couple "older" people (in their 30's). So most other HG's are not balancing whether to play the game all-out (lying, betraying, etc.) vs trying to play the game with the same morals they are trying to teach their children. I see Shelly's comment as trying to balance those two...I never remember seeing her make comments where she criticized other people for lying...at least not on the CBS broadcasts. The live feeds might be a different story.

I can't remember exact moments off-hand, but there have been more than a few times on CBS where she has complained about the liars in the house, and then gone to the diary room and complained about all the liars. We have also seen her on the show talk to Jeff and Jordan about how, "I'm just gathering information for us, trust me, trust me, I'm on your side 110%." When they had her daughter on the show, (this was a week or two before the Jeff Jordan drama), even SHE said, "My mom needs to stop lying."

I believe she was on their side 110% until she realized they (Jeff and Jordan) would put each other ahead of her later in the game. As she told Jordan last night, she had to put herself ahead of them before they did the same to her. But I don't think she set out to betray them.

This is the line she is using, but I don't believe it. Based on her actions, she has been setting herself up with both "sides" for quite a while. She was keeping all of her bases covered. She lied to everyone. And it was working for a long time. She just overplayed her hand and got caught.

No, she even said in the Diary Room how much she liked Jeff and Jordan personally...and she genuinly seems to like them. She also had no problem admitting to Julie how much she lied and how many sentences she's going to have to write when she gets home...so I still don't know where this idea comes from that she claims she has not lied. Or, maybe if she did claim to other HG's that she was playing a more moral game, that it was another of her game lies to convice them to keep her around?

I think it comes from what she says during the live feeds that aren't always broadcast.
