    I didn't realize they were paid as well as going for prize money, but yeah, that essentially eliminates it as a game show. Otherwise, well said. As I said, I don't think they pre-determine any outcomes but they do move things toward this or that houseguest, especially if they are popular or good at causing conflict in the house. What do we remember about BB. We always remember conflict and big moves.

    The weekly stipend is $1000 plus whatever the economic value of room and board in a southern California sequestered house is. Anyone who makes it to jury gets the maximum stipend of about $15,000. First place ($500,000) and second place ($50,000) don't get any additional stipend, so their bonus prizes are effectively worth about $485,000 and $35,000.

    There's speculation the stipend for veterans like Paul is greater.

    and apparently up for negotiation, if the vet makes it far enough into the season, then threatens to walk (see mike "boogie" malin & janelle pierzina bb14). i can only guess the latest vet contract has a few extra paragraphs...

    So with this said, to me BB is more of a reality show (with the chance to make more money) than a game show. And with that, it SHOULD give BB free reign to manipulate as they please.
