I too was liking the cougar until she opened her mouth. She was really tearing into Adam and getting too personal with the attacks. I'm not sure I like this whole couples thing though. There are some couples where I want one person to stay and the other to go.

He reminded me of Crabman on My Name Is Earl. Especially when he was kissing his turtles (or similar) goodbye.

She still thinks she's 24 and has something that attracts her "type".

    She needs a NEWS FLASH!

in her defense, Adam is kind of freaky looking/acting but still, she should be ashamed of herself for the way she treated him.

Ha. James claims to be riding his bike around the world on $100 to show that we still care about each other. But when he's on BB, the minute they mention that there's $10,000 in the pillow, he perks up. Then when they don't win, he throws the pillow right at his partners head.

I had more of a Gary Dourdan (CSI's Warrick) getting bored during the writer's strike and going on Big Brother kind of vibe. :D

I don't like the gimmicks. I prefer to just have a bunch of folks cooped up in the house together and play the game. I don't mind the BF or ex-BF kind of thing (or last summer when 3 of them had "enemies" in the house) but not a big fan of changing the fundamental game, which is individual. I may bail on this one as I have no interest in the forced couples thing.

I agree with you in that I wish they wouldn't change the basic premise of the game. This show is great when you just throw a bunch of people in there and see what comes out of it. I love the all singles aspect, but this couples thing I don't know about yet.

she didn't look too pleased about the pillow toss to the face - nor should she be. I started out liking him but after that - not so much.

Really? It just looked playfull to me. It didn't look like he did it out of anger to me.

I thought the same thing, the more she complained the uglier she got.

She totally reminded me of Allison also. Maybe it was just the whining about her ex.

I felt for Sheila. She had a right to throw a tantrum. You have to work with this person presumably all season if you want to win. No one signed up knowing that. I wouldn't want to be paired with him either. He seems a bit obnoxious. However, once the shock is over, she should move on and stop dwelling on it. If not, it could very well be her undoing.

Season should be around normal length. Julie Chen mentioned in an interview that it would be three months so...expect the unexpected, I suppose.

Also, I would just like to say that my season pass worked fine. I set it up for Big Brother 9, and it automatically changed to Big Brother: 'Til Death Do You Part.

I already hate "Ma" and her partner. As someone else mentioned, if you don't like it...deal with it. She signed up to play a game not marry the guy. She should accept it as part of the game and do what she has to in order to win. I'm hoping this team goes fast.

I don't like crazy James...he kinda creeps me out.

I realized as they were hanging above the bed that the gf/bf would have an advantage split up because you know the other would be safe as long as one can win HoH. So its almost like an instant 4 member alliance.

The ex gf/bf pairing automatically annoyed me. As soon as the girl opened her mouth to whine about it, I heard Danielle going, "This is soooooooo hard!" and I immediately didn't want another season with some whinny blonde complaining about being put in a house with someone she hates.

I think once the game gets to the halfway point. they'll let the couples play individually.

I liked it but I wish they weren't gimmicky with the one ex-couple and the one current couple.

Just have 16 strangers and quit trying to do something "special" every year. Sheesh!

Ryan's my favorite so far but I feel bad for him that he's not with his GF. Oh well.

Good episode - Ma/Adam should be the one going but after doing a search on Penthouse Pet I think she has earned the right to stay for another week or two :)

What was with the one chick (maybe 3rd couple out in the challenge) saying "sorry babe, I couldn't hang on" like she hadn't just met her partner a couple of hours earlier. "Babe" isn't a term of endearment that most people just toss around.

what got me was when she said 'hes not my type.....i go for tall dark and handsome,' and the guy was standing right there.

she pretty much told him he was ugly.

the guy had to have been hurt after hearing that........having someone cry because they got paired with you, man what a beeyatch she is. i felt bad for adam (although he seems to be a bit of an annoying guy).

its the first day, play nice and go with the flow. shes putting a target squalrely on their backs on the first day.

OMG, ok, just got word that the episode is up at the CBS site. I had checked last night, but apparently too early 'cuz it's there now. Yeah!

P.S. Thanks to those offering to burn it for me! I can't get over the generosity of tivo lovers! ;0)

OMG - that "older" woman was just mean and nasty. Good God. Why carry on and on like that? Even if you don't care about the guy's feelings, WTF good is that going to do? It's not like you're going to have to marry him. Just team up and win some competitions.

    Sheesh...

I think she really took offense to the guy calling her Ma when he said "I guess it's me and you Ma". That seems to be when she really started to flip out. I don't think he meant anything mean by it though.
