Wil Wheaton is wasted in the 'nerd' role... his performance as the 'crazy homeless guy' proved he actually has some acting talent.

shame he couldn't break out of that nerd role..

I have no idea. I've just been reading his book, and as I watched the show, I kept thinking he could probably do better than either of these guys.

Perfectly put. For Big Bang Theory, I read a good review somewhere + the chick is hot = I'd give it a shot. I lasted about ten minutes.

I know no-one looks to sitcoms for realism, but to go from the two geeks standing there staring at their hot, new neighbor - awkward and open-mouthed - to her sitting on their couch like old times in a few minutes' time... Just silly.

If you had hung in a few more minutes you would have seen she even got naked in their apartment. That's much sillier.

It's good to see that "Billie" has gotten more work. Now if only the other "witches" could get some. :)

There was some great stuff like showing the hot chick his world of warcraft character. It was a little over the top with some of the sterotypical behavior of the guys. I will give it a chance since I have an open tuner at that time.

Is this still on iTunes for free? I don't want to download iTunes to find out unless it's there.

Chuck Lorre's Vanity Card and BNL are definite plusses. The similarity of the Indian scientist geek to a woman I work with made me a little uncomfortable. There've been times I want to grab her by the shoulders and tell her "Now this is the point in the social pleasantries when you say 'Hello.'"

I was kind of surprised to see that more people didn't pick up on this. I noticed this within the first 5 mins of the show.

To me some of the lines were funny, but the show was just not funny. The way the actors are playing the roles or the director is telling them to play it make them come across not as geeks or nerds, but some one who is so far below the social norms its not even funny.

I am a geek and maybe a nerd too, I get what they are trying to do with the show. It just seems like they are furthering bad stereotypes. Why couldn't they speak in a normal vocal pattern???

What's the difference between a geek and a nerd? Someone needs to explain it to the writers on Chuck
    Geek Squad != Nerd Herd

Lots of Nerds think they are merely Geeks. That's what makes it funny, or sad, depending on the one doing the labeling.

    Where was that?

I found it mildly amusing but not a keeper.
Ok to record if I have a free tuner.

Oh my god.. it's even older than I thought.

This show and Chuck make me realize that "Dweebs" was 12 (!!!!) years too early.

It was very stereotypical, but there were enough funny lines that I didn't delete the SP.
It'll take more creativity and soon to stick, though.

Was it only available for a limited time as free? I missed it and wanted to see it, so just went to download it and it's $2.
