Liked it. I'll keep my SP.
Nice dig there cwoody. I'm seriously not getting the feelings of mediocrity for this show, I thought it was genuinely funny. Maybe its because in the past I've generally not been big on comedies, but have recently started catching a few here and there. Ehh, who knows. I liked it and I'll keep watching.
SP deleted. I don't think this will last - "normal" people will tire of it feeling like they are reading a dictionary while watching TV.
Some people just don't get geek humor. That's why I still think IT'S DOOMED. My wife said "It's like Beauty and the Geek but without the 'reality'."
I thought it was pretty funny. Sad to say, I can relate all too well to the painful social awkwardness of geeks. I'll add my SP and enjoy it while it lasts.
I enjoyed it. But, yeah, I can see where it will be a niche series. But, hey, so are half the shows on ABC, the chick show network.
The bubbly Cheesecake Factory server chick is the perfect neighbor to have in terms of being the geeks' perfect foil.
I wouldn't rush home to watch this show, but I suppose if my remote was broken and I could not change channels, and CBS happened to be on, I would watch it.
to Barenaked Ladies for doing the theme song.
We watched it, we laughed. I'll keep the SP and hopefully they get a fighting chance to survive.
I made it 5 minutes, then deleted the episode and the SP.
you missed all the funny stuff!
I am not understanding all the hatred for this show. I found it rather entertaining and funny.
I liked it too, but I bet after some focus group input, the physics geek speak will be dumbed down a bit. I'm glad Johnny Galleki (sp) is back on TV again.
Look at his avatar. He's more the old boyfriend type than the neighbor type.
I liked it, and find it interesting that other people are describing it as Frasier and Niles: the younger years, because my wife and I had that exact conversation while watching it last night. I'm keeping my subscription to it, and preparing a "burn in hell" because it's too geeky/smart for network tv.
It was interesting but sterotypical. I'm at least willing to give it a few more episodes to see if it goes somewhere, or if it just gets stuck in a rut.
There were enough funny jokes that I'll watch a couple more episodes, but it is such a boilerplate sitcom that I don't know if I can stand it long term.
They should have cast Wil Wheaton in this.
I completely agree - I haven't laughed that hard in a while. But I agree - since I love it so much - it'll die quickly. Glad to see I'm not the only one that feels they only cancel shows they like!
I wonder what sadder. Watching the BSG season 2 dvds with commentary or going to the net the next day after the show aired and Downloading them so you can play them off your computer while you re watch BSG on your tivo.
Yes they should have. I haven't read his blog in a long time, did he audition?
