Anyone? I wasn't thrilled by the commercials, but ended up watching it due to the open half hour. The nerd humor was a little predictable, but they still managed to give some "true" geek humor. I love the guy showing her his online character~

I'll give it a few episodes try.

I downloaded it free from iTunes. It was OK. I'll give it another shot.

I hated it. I'm not giving it a second episode.

Same here. Both me and the wife thought it was hilarious, and my wife's not half the geek I am.

Awesome show, please keep this CBS!!

I watched this show on my iPod at the gym a couple of days ago. I don't think it's all that great, but I have to admit that I laughed several times at some of the geek humor.

"What do you want to do?"
    "I want to leave."
    "Okay."
    "What's the protocol for leaving?"
"I don't know. I've never reneged on a proffer of sperm before."

It kind of had a The Class style humor to it. Might be some of the same writing staff.

    The girl is smoking hot.

Chuck Lorre makes this show for me. Heck I will tune in just to read his vanity card every week it is one of the main reason I watch 2.5 Men.

Two threads and no one comments on the joke just before the first break?

"What do you guys do for fun?"
"Well this morning we tried to masturbate for money."

Not to mention the last line of the episode.
I was getting a strong "Niles" vibe from Sheldon myself.

It was okay. A little predictable. Oh, the nerds are being socially awkward in front of the dumb blonde.

Sheldon's character is being played too much like a guy with Asperger's, so the humor is less funny and more uncomfortable. Even going with the logic "He's like me, so I get to laugh" that applies to groups like Jews and Blacks, I still find it hard to see humor in someone's autism. He had like 2 or 3 genuinely funny lines.

Eh, it was OK. Typical laugh track sitcom. I can't believe anyone would call it "hilarious" though. Mildly amusing, maybe.

Can you elaborate on the "vanity card" thing? Where do I know Chuck Lorre from? Was he "King of Queens?

    SP canceled.

Every year I give traditional sitcoms a try and every year I can't stand them.

I sort of liked it - I liked the actress from dating my daughter and the two guys were geeky funny.

It takes me a few shows to remember their names ;)

He is the producer of Big Bang Theory, as well as Two and a Half Men and (formerly) Dharma and Greg. At the end of each episode in the credits there is a block of text where the production company's information goes, and if you pause to read it, it contains various ramblings from Mr. Lorre.

Or you can just go to his website. Here's the one that appeared on Big Bang Theory last night:

At the end of the show, when the production companies have their logos (or plates) displayed, Chuck Lorre's plate contains a story. One that members of this forum would appreciate...

If you still have the download from iTunes, pause it on the white card at the very end. :)
