    Trenton,...
I was hoping that we'd see Sheldon and Amy have kids. As fun as it was watching Sheldon navigate dating and marriage, I think it would be dwarfed by watching him care for an infant. We already know there's kids in his future (he brought them up during a voiceover in Young Sheldon). I was hoping that the allure of trying to portray Sheldon in that role would be too tempting for Parsons to walk away from.

Seriously. Amy gets pregnant after their yearly coitus? The pregnancy could have been this season, with the birth as a finale, and next year could have been the joys/horrors of parenthood.

Already did that with Howard and Bernadette. Kids don't fit in the show, never see Haily.
When I watch the old shows from s1-s5, I realize how stale the last few seasons have become.

This is the way the show ends.
Not with a bang but a whimper.

Tony, normally I'd agree with you, but in this case, it might have been fun, considering Sheldon is such an odd duck, him being a parent would be interesting. And also you could play it off how he was brought up on YS. I just think Jim Parsons just doesn't "need" to do TBBT anymore, he has so many other things going on.

I think that elements of the show have needed some shaking up, to get the freshness and creativity kick-started again. I mean absolutely no disrespect and I think that the actors are talented, but the Leonard and Penny characters seem somewhat cardboard at this point, coasting, and there is little sign of a happy relationship between the characters. And I know that the actors (and characters) are capable of so much more. Likewise, Amy of late, at times.

Didn't somebody once say, in one of those endless TBBT weekly threads, that her last name was Lane. Or was that just for comedy effect? :D

That’s why it would mean a joke. He never rode it.
