Damn, now gotta wait almost a year!
While I’m of course interested in the resolution of these questions, I’m also interested in what happens to “Gene”. (Odenkirk alluded to the Gene resolution in the Monday “Conan” interview on TBS — not a spoiler)

He said he "thinks" they'll address that. I don't know how they can wrap that up in one flash forward scene. It could be a whole other spinoff, and they wouldn't have to worry about making Odenkirk look young.

Probably a lot longer than that.

    Yes:
"I think they'll also tell the story of how this guys puts his life together after he's gone into hiding after Breaking Bad, I think" "I never know what to believe from Vince Gilligan or Peter Gould when they say they have no plan in place. Its hard to believe they have no inkling on where this goes"

With the current "shelter in place" or "remote working" orders I think a lot of TV shows/movies will at least be delayed, if not cancelled.. I'm expecting a similar outcome as the writer strikes of 2007/2008. BCS is safe, it will finish it's final season fine as it gets viewers, but I would expect some delay. Other shows especially ones in their first season will not be so lucky. I'm expecting an onslaught of reality TV this fall (assuming there's no 2nd wave of the COVID-19 virus) that can be quickly and cheaply be put together so the networks have at least something for their fall lineup.

Probably also a lot of second-tier foreign (British and Canadian) material that otherwise wouldn't have made its way here...

Yeah there's no way this doesn't get delayed. I'm bummed. What a great finale! Lalo won me over the past few episodes (and by won me over, made me enjoy disliking and wishing for his demise instead of just not enjoying the actor/character at all like I was in the beginning). Something else still has to go down with Nacho and Lalo because I keep going back to that moment in the desert where Saul is trying to blame them for something. I think Nacho somehow convinces Lalo he heard something and went to investigate and got knocked out or something, who knows. I think he smooths things over, even if for a short time, and they both go back to Saul for something.

Cannot wait to see what Kim and Jimmy come up with. Slipping Kimmie for sure. She's always had that in her, but she just used to fight that side of herself a lot more and now she's just decided to give in. Still not at all sure how I think things end with her next season.

Also NACHO LIVES! That was a real concern for me through most of this episode. He may die next season but at least he's made it this far. I have no idea how I got so soft for this character. I remember in the beginning some of the crappy things he did. He just wore me down, I guess.

Maybe instead of just a flashforwad scene in the opening of the season they hit us with a full episode of the Gene story. Maybe as the series finale and the episode before the finale can wrap the BCS to BB story.

I have no dout in my mind that the final scene of the current timeline will be Walter and Jesse in the desert with Saul. I also think the final episode will be a closure of the Gene flash forwards.

Probably in addition to? I can't imagine at this point they'd abandon the season opening scene...

With the final season being 13 episodes instead of the usual 10, that leaves the possibility for 3 Gene specific episodes.

13 eps in season 6 will give BCS one more episode overall than BB.

I have no doubt that neither of those will happen, especially the BB scene. Nothing in that scene, except for Saul mentioning Lalo and Ignacio is relevant to the BCS plot or arc. They were just throwaway names they just put in there, never knowing the future of BB or that there would be a BCS series.

Also, that scene in BB doesn't happen until Season 2, Episode 8, which is pretty far into the BB timeline, and I don't think BCS will progress that far into the BB era. It might touch on it at the end, but I feel VG and PG are trying to stay far away from overlapping both storylines.

I loved how their foreplay was a lot of silly things to take Howard down. Then their postlude turned deadly serious.

God is Kim so gorgeous. And I don't know what trick their doing, but when she's full on bad girl, she somehow looks softer and sweeter and more of the girl next door.

I totally noticed this as well. For pretty much the entire series, I never found Kim to be "my type", but that scene on the bed towards the end of the episode, yeah, wow.

That is entirely due to the actor and how great she is at the small things of facial features and body language. I take it that the business woman/lawyer is forced act that she needs to concentrate and work at and that shows in her face. While the slipping Kimmie conwoman is more of her natural state that doesn't require concentration and shows as more relaxed, softer in her facial expressions.

I think it is purposeful on the actor's part and Rhea Seehorn is great doing it.

She's definitely a big factor, but hair, lighting and makeup also play a major role here.

Another thing I noticed is that Kim looked very upset at what Howard was telling her about bowling balls and hookers; and then she burst out laughing. Yeah, Seehorn is a great, great actor. As is Fringe/Esposito - dude can go from mild chicken man to psychotic killer in the time it takes him to hang up a phone.

Yeah, in retrospect it's obvious she was expecting much worse ("You realize your boyfriend is a cartel lawyer, right?").
Although in his case it's a matter of less is more...he's scary because the mild chicken man and the psychotic killer are exactly the same!
