I've always wondered what happens to Kim that she's not in Breaking Bad. Now I think it's because she's in prison.

She enjoys playing the con game more than Slippin' Jimmy every did.

Lalo makes his debut. Nacho is Canadian and his name is really Martin. Who would of thought. Ignacio must be his middle name.

I thought those ID cards were for Nacho and his father to assume new identities and get away.

I'm pretty sure this is the case. Glad to see him back! I kept waiting for the DA to figure out the con but it seems they got away with it. Jimmy really is good at this.

That makes more sense. I took it as a regret and scene, as if something had happened to his father.

I would have never pegged Nacho as the keeping groupie girls around type nor living in the big flashy house.

Well, that was an unexpected turn. I really thought Kim was going to be done with Jimmy after this caper, and that would trigger "full Saul."

Since we know where everyone else winds up (those of us who watched BB, at least), Kim is by far the most fascinating character. I'm glad they surprised us. I don't know how long she can maintain the double life and worry for her fate.

I think she always enjoyed the cons like the ones she and Jimmy pulled off in the restaurant last season (or the one before) but she didn't seem to get into anything really egregiously bad, at least as it related to her job.

She seemed so distracted and bored at the MV meeting, perhaps thinking about what they just pulled off and the thrill of it.

Maybe she does get caught and goes away, as alluded to above, and doesn't appear on BB. But the misdirection of her being so mad at Jimmy, seemingly due to his phone hi-jinx, was great.

I saw a distinct smirk at that MV meeting. She was reliving her caper the day before.
I still fear for her fate ... like something worse and more permanent (a la Hank) than jail and disbarment.

This is exactly what I was talking about before...Kim likes the con. It's in her nature. Jimmy's gonna be crushed with guilt if she does something to ruin her life/career and he blames himself as the reason she did it. In fact, there's enough in this caper alone that could come back and bite them later. How many counts of mail fraud?

I wonder if she has a vacuum that gets repaired in the not too distant future.

By the way, the church website is real (of course). It has the church's phone number - 318-426-9662. It goes to the voicemail outgoing message recorded by Jimmy in the "pastor's" voice.

Is it really mail fraud (and illegal)? I'm not an expert, but from what I see with a quick search on this site, I don't think so. I think what they did is unethical and could see Kim being disciplined or disbarred by the Bar Assoc. But I'm not sure there's anything illegal about it.

I think Kim will be taken down by something bigger than what we just saw.

I don't know, but from the show's perspective as a plot point it seems to be...Jimmy called it out himself.

I don't know if she'd end up in prison. I can't see Jimmy letting her take the fall for something they did together, and then just continue to skirt the edges of the law as if nothing had happened to her.
For those who don't know, Michael Mando is actually Canadian. He speaks French, but he has to be coached on his Spanish lines because he doesn't speak Spanish at all.

Did it bother anyone else that at the MV meeting they were talking about the market research they had done that tells them it's time to move into Wyoming, yet last episode we saw one of the plaques that Kim received said Cheyenne, Wyoming? So were they just talking about expanding their presence in Wyoming, or was that a continuity mistake?

My thinking is that she's more into it than he is. I dunno, maybe she does something on her own...

Or maybe she crosses the wrong mark. :(

I wouldn't be surprised if Kim getting into trouble has less to do with Jimmy becoming Saul than Jimmy's inability to help her...

I'm worried that the reason Kim isn't in BB is more tragic than being in prison or or witness protection or simply moved away.

Good episode. The scam on the DA was fun.

I don't remember what Saul's office looked like in BB, but was the last building he looked at the same one?

It was a one-story strip mall. I do not remember if it had the two-story block at one end.
