I'm pretty sure he told Nacho it was a lease, not the cops.
I thought he told mike in the previous episode it was a lease as well. Maybe I remember wrong, though
Yeah, she's something. Lucky Jimmy.
I guess we see Jimmy going bad as reaction to Chuck spying on him?
I didn't 100% follow Mike's deal with Nacho. I guess in the end Nacho gets the (leased!) H2 and whatever drugs he stole (and no word to Tuco) in return for $10,000 and returning the baseball cards?
My thought, too. It was an alibi, not evidence.
Now if the cops had been feds, they all would have been off to Club Fed for lying to a federal agent, like Martha Stewart and Dennis Hastert.
That's how I took it too.
Chuck has an aversion to electricity. Jimmy has an aversion to authority. They both are driven to do self-destructive little rituals to "self-medicate".
Wow. Wow. As someone who uses destructive behavior to self-medicate this had not occurred to me.
What was Chuck's last line in the show? I wasn't sure I understood it correctly. What I did hear but do not remember at the moment was I thought it was very cold.
I'm bummed with how toxic the brothers relationship is.
You might be right, which would kill my explanation. I definitely remember him telling that to the cops, but don't recall one way or the other if he also told Mike it was a lease.
A) I think it was cash he stole out of the apartment that he gets to keep, not any drugs (although that's possible, it wasn't mentioned).
2) The $10k Mike keeps.
I could also be wrong. Maybe it was Nacho he told. But I am pretty sure "It's a lease" thing started in episode 1
Just reviewed both episodes, and "the dude" only told the cops the hummer was a lease.
Chuck looks to be determined to sabotage Jimmy's career no matter what...which we can guess helps lead Jimmy to being Saul.
How about everyone having no qualms about turning on their ringing phones while Chuck was standing just 20 feet away?
That's what I was thinking. When confronted with that by the cops, he covered with that.
Nah, he never told Nacho anything like that, just the cops when they came to the house. And he didn't sound forthright when he said it...
Cop: Pretty sweet Hummer parked in the driveway. That yours?
Daniel: Yeah, that's mine. Uh, it's a lease. Got a great deal on it.
Cop: It's very sweet.
That's exactly how I remember it.
Thanks for confirming.
What the heck is a fog test? Google didn't help.
Jimmy said he did it pro bono, but did he really? Why would he have done it for free, and why would Mike have asked him to? I think he was just telling Kim it was pro bono, to soften the fact that he was doing work on the side.
Is discussing how things work out in Breaking Bad a spoiler? I'd go with "No" but hell hath no fury...
Yeah.. No way was it "pro bono". Jimmy got PAID. Either a cut of Mike's money, or they got our hapless drug dealer to pay a bit more for his blundering ways
Yeah, I'm sure he got paid, but just was telling Kim something else so he could tell her the pie story.
I liked how Mike called up Saul and asked if he were still "morally flexible"
Go back one more episode to when he pulls up and meets Nacho with the hummer. I don't have it on Tivo anymore, but I'm sure he said "it's a lease" that time also.
Sorry, I meant "smog test" or "emissions test"
