I'm rewatching the Breaking Bad Series. Spoilerized for those who don't want BB info
Just watched the episode where we see Saul for the first time as the lawyer Jesse and Walter hired for Badger.
Good stuff! And it's helping me to spot the BB characters who are showing up on BCS.

Love that Mike has Tuco's boxing glove necklace bling. I bet that comes back into the story at some point.

Nothing Jimmy does surprises me since we all know how he ended up :)

    Tuco is a great character

Listened to the Insider podcast. Interesting tidbit: Vince said that all the bruising and swelling on Mike's face was done in post production with computer graphics. This was in both the cold open scene as well as the scene with Nacho toward the end of the episode.

He also said that they originally wanted to film the scenes with Tuco at a fictional restaurant called Taco Cabeza, based on a comment that Tuco made during Breaking Bad. But then they found this existing place and it was so perfect that they just used it as is rather than doing all the necessary set dressing to create Taco Cabeza.

It must since Tuco is wearing it in the BB episode "Tight, tight, tight!" scene where he tries the blue.

That's actually where I was hoping Tuco was conducting his weekly "sessions" in this ep...

Mike is awesome; however I'm finding his age distracting. I mean he's clearly older than he is in BB (in the future). Jonathan Banks even said they weren't going to do any "tricks" to make him look younger.

Well, so is Saul/Jimmy. And I find him more distracting than Mike, because they ARE trying to fake it (with the hair...and I find the younger hair and the older face more distracting than Mike's overall older appearance, which at least is consistent). That's just something you have to accept on this show.

Mike was pretty old looking in BB. He's old here too. At that point, old is old.

I agree, it's hard not to notice. I still love the guy, he's got that role down, but there it is.

eta: And i'll never be able to watch Airplane! again without thinking of him! :)

Hmm. I don't notice it as much with Odenkirk. Right now I see Jimmy McGill.

Tuco called Mike a geezer. Granted he was playing the part. The first time we see Mike in BB he is not a geezer. Perhaps breaking bad is invigorating for Mike?

Jimmy is just starved for accolades. He doesn't care about his way persay, but he's craving that hearty clap on the back for a job well done. He wants to blow them away with his ideas. And the way to do that wasn't spend 6 months in committee over a commercial.

Plus, honestly the longer they drag it out, the smaller the plaintiff pool becomes.

because Tuco is a cocky younger man. And Mike was playing up the old man part, with the bad driving, aloofness, and shuffling walk.
