I just thought it laughable that the cylons would lament that the humans wouldn't trust them. Well, gee, you vaporized billions of them with your "plan" I can see why they might have a tad bit of hesitation.

I was ready to cuss Gaeta out while watching this in my living room. I can only imagine what his fellow infirmary mates and staff wanted to do to him.

The next Six model that comes off the assembly line should have an optional Kevlar body suit with matching helmet.

Note to self: if ever hospitalized, by all means possible avoid sharing a room with Gaeta.

I was thinking that Galactica needs to get the type of jump drives that don't need time to spin up first.

Is the rebel fleet still out of range of a resurrection ship? Is rebel 6 really dead?

Since they are within one jump of the Resurrection "hub", I'd guess that Natalie might not have permanently bought it. But, as she said, they're rebels--there is no place for them back with the Cylons if they do resurrect.

I enjoyed this episode, and most of my talking points have already been covered. But one thing keeps pestering me--

What kind of incredible child care system does the Galactica have? Athena and Helo disappear for a month on the garbage scow, and their kid is taken care of. Tyrol always seems to be working, and his wife is dead, and their kid is taken care of.

I know it's one of those "Don't ask too many questions--the writers don't like to be bugged by details"--but this just keeps popping to the front of my mind. :)

I wondered about that myself when Athena came into her quarters -- clearly exhausted from a work shift -- with her kid inside (alone) coloring on the table!

After a while??? I became sick of it instantly upon the first nanosecond of the sound waves being processed by my brain.

Where is the master at arms to lock up all of the blasters until you go on a mission. That should curb the shootings for awhile at least...

And the 5th has to be someone significant, otherwise they wouldn't have dragged it out this long.

Probably, since Caprica 6 is currently living in the Battlestar Galactica's jail.

I'm not sure that the opera house dream or Hera's coloring book were specific about which six it was, so Sharon would naturaly freak at any six that tries to take her daughter.

OK, the last time I refered to what was in the "scenes for next week," I got yelled at for not using spoiler tags. Touche, I've since read the rules, so here's a prediciton based on next week's teaser:

Doc Cottle tells Tyie, "I found a surprise in your Clyon." My wife is convinced that Tyie got her pregnant, which would create the first baby with TWO Cylon parents.

Also, It appears that Natillie was not fatally wounded when Sharon shot her.

Not *immediately* fatal, anyway...she could still die from it.

You might as well ask where did Gilligan and the gang "drop anchor" all those years on the island. Anyone eats that much coconut is going to need to go to the catbox at some point, yet they never do. Not one outhouse hut was constructed.

Roundboy........Nice pick up on the new dying leader.

That's why I assumed the hybrid jumped the baseship immediately - 'tis just a flesh wound (for the moment). They jump to the resurrection farm, she dies, she resurrects. If she dies before they jump, she's toast(er). Unless, of course, they're not jumping to the resurrection ship...

Is it me, or does the lack of medical "breakthroughs" on the show, compared to breakthroughs in most other areas bother you?

I mean, if you get shot in the leg and are unable to treat it properly, you have to saw it off. If you get cancer, you get treated by chemotherapy, and you lose your hair.

But you have cylon skinjobs which are machines that function 100% like humans do, and you have intergalactic spaceships that are so technologically beyond what we currently comphrehend, that you just chalk it up to it being sci-fi, and move on.

But is their any medical breakthroughs anywhere near the other technological breakthroughs on the show?

I believe Dr McCoy in Star Trek IV when he walks up to Chekov with a fancy device, and cures his broken neck in 10 seconds, more than I believe that you need chemotherapy to combat cancer in Galatica.

I think stuff like this makes the show more interesting.
