bad audio on 1 channel only

    I recorded a show on Bravo and when I tried to watch it, the audio was terrible. Even with the volume all the way up, the audio was too low to hear. I also noticed a slight crackling sound.

    The same audio problem occurs if I try to watch Bravo live through the Tivo.

    If I watch Bravo without Tivo, the sound is fine.
    Live and recorded tv on all other channels is fine.

    My setup is pretty simple. Comcast cable. No cable box. Series 2 Tivo. I've had Tivo for 2-3 years and have never had this problem before... although this may be the first time I've recorded anything from Bravo.

    Any ideas why the audio from 1 channel would be bad when viewed through Tivo?

    It may be possible that you are picking up some RF interference on the frequency that Bravo is on. Do you have a splitter before the Tivo? Sometimes (I believe) that they are the source, especially if you have an unused port without a cap on the splitter.

    I'm certainly no expert on this issue, and could be way off base, but it may be something to check while you await more expert advice.
