I just finished watching the first episode. I enjoyed it. I originally thought the premiere was Saturday night. So I was surprised when my TiVo was recording it shortly after midnight this morning.

I thought the first episode was great. I had high hopes that this would have that same style and feel of the original movies and I was not disappointed.

As if Bruce Campbell wasn't enough, it has Lucy Lawless too!

I'm surprised there's no Ted Raimi.

Evil Dead is one of those movie properties where I have some general knowledge about it but I've never actually seen any of the movies. I may have to go back now and correct that, because I just watched the first episode and loved it. I'm in.

I've seen Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness, but never The Evil Dead. I looked it up on Amazon and it is (a) purchase only, not renting, and (b) rated NC-17!

I agree the pilot for Ash vs. Evil Dead was really great.

Evil Dead 2 is the same movie as Evil Dead, but with more campy humor and a much larger budget.

Well they were both rerunning all over the place this weekend, no need to buy.

Evil Dead (the original) was a college project with Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell. When they graduated, they got funding to make it again. They changed the story just slightly, because they couldn't get all of the same actors that were in the original during film school.

I saw Evil Dead 2 in the theaters, because I loved horror movies as a teenager. I was confused that it was a sequel, but apparently, I didn't care. I remember laughing and thinking, "am I supposed to laugh? This is a horror movie, right? Seems strange to be laughing." Still, fell in love with it. I've watched it way more times than Army of Darkness.

They just ran all three movies Friday night, before the show premiered around 12:15 Saturday morning. The Evil Dead comes on two more times in November on STARZ. I don't see where Evil Dead 2 comes on any more this month on Starz. And Army of Darkness comes on four more times in November on STARZ.

What are the odds any business could survive 30 years of having Ash as an employee?

Was S-Mart part of all the films, or just Army of Darkness? Because the current show doesn't have clearance to use Army of Darkness material.
