Apps downloading very slowly.

    My Amazon, Netlfix and Hulu download so slow. When I activate them on the remote, I look out the window like I'm waiting for a bus as the circle spins on screen trying to download.

    It's an old Tivo. Is it a tech problem or do I just need a new Tivo?

    This would indicate you have a new TiVo: ReCycle Old Computer Hard Drives?

    No, the Tivo for recycling was a bedroom tivo that has been unplugged and out of service for a long time. It was replaced a few years ago with a new Tivo that still works fine.

    My question refers to a living room Tivo that downloads streaming apps very slowly and it is pretty old.

    The Tivo to be recycled is a Series 3 and the Tivo that's downloading so slowly is a Series 4.

    A Roku? Interesting, I've not heard of that. I'll look it up and find about it. Thanks so much.

    Might want to take the drive out and run a non destructive diagnostic on it to see if it has any bad spots. If it does, replace the drive.
    Might change the network cable with a good quality cable.

    I gave up on using a Series 4/Premiere for streaming apps. I switched it back to use the SD menus so I don't even see the apps anymore.
