Anyone else have this problem with Motorola DVR’s?
I’ve had to replace three and am on the verge of getting a fourth replacement since late 2007. It seems as though they only last six months-a year/year and a half and start to go bad. You start missing recordings, your favorite shows and favorite channels keep blacking out as the DVR doesn’t pick up their signal for whatever reason and signals are often lost just as it’s time to watch or record your favorite programs. I was just wondering if it’s just me, something I’m doing wrong or if perhaps it’s a common problem for these DVR’s to simply be poorly made and not built to last? They are issued by my cable provider which is why I haven’t switched brands to

There's this company named Tivo... they make a really nice DVR, I'd suggest you check them out. Some users even have had them running for almost 10 years.
