Has anyone else gotten an ad in the "Delete this program now?" screen?

Just saw my first today, it was selectable and I suppose I could have seen a video clip had I selected it.

BOO to Tivo for this. I won't even mention the advertiser.

    It's already been discussed here.

Since Directv provides the signal, I suspect that you're blaming the wrong party.

Doesn't bother me a bit, by the way. Doesn't take up any of my time, it's easy to ignore, and, if it keeps the cost of the service down, more power to it.

I consider it slightly annoying, but tolerable. If the ads don't get any worse than that, I'm still happy.

Yet another reason to stay with (modified) ver 6.2a!

I haven't seen the thread in the past about this...

I have to admit it actually *irritates* me that they have ads everywhere. I just make it a point to not even consider the products they advertise.

Must explain why I've never seen these ads. Running 6.2a with zipper.

I hadn't seen this discussed previously....

Bottom line, it sucks, regardless of who is "doing" it (Tivo must have at least written the software to allow DTV to put an ad there).

Now, I've only seen this one time, hopefully this will stay below the annoyance level.

This has been a "feature" on standalone TiVos for a while now.

Nope. This "feature" was never ported back to the Series 1 DirecTivo's.

Yeah, I just let mine dial in after 360+ days and got the upgrade...

Now I have the ads. I find this.... disturbing.

Not as disturbing as the offensive ads and banners you get on the bottom of most shows now days. :)

Unless you actually want to see that show!

I wonder if this will be included in the new TiVos.

Sorry I mean intruded in the new TiVos:p (After all, all ad's are an intrusion:cool:)

I have 6.4a and have no ads when I delete programs.

Just watched 2 or 3 this evening, deleted them after watching, and nothing, no ad, it just deleted like normal.

You might not even be noticing. It's just one line on the bottom of the screen where you confirm that you are deleting.

    It doesn't always happen.

Doesn't bother me in the least since it doesn't use any time.

Ever since a recent update that provided a Recently Deleted folder in my Now Playing list, I have not had to confirm a delete. It is just a one key operation. I either press the clear key or choose delete from the list on the screen that comes up right after you select the show you want to play.

Correct. The ad comes up with the deletion screen that happens automatically at the end of a program.

    Sorry if I was confusing.
