Against the sink to crack them.
No. You tap them when you to begin peeling them.
Ah. That's what I do (well tap them on the sides) and my batch stuck like hell. Guess I need to try the above exactly.
I thought it was the opposite.
Pretty sure the fresh ones are more troublesome with the whites sticking to the shell pretty bad.
The internet seems to agree with that, but the last time I made them, the eggs were close to the expiration (sell by) date and they still stuck.
I think that also happens if you don't do the cooling process quickly too. Not sure though. I only know that it's a simple process that I would not consider buying a product to make it "easier" to do. It's too easy already.
On those relatively few days when I need a quick dose of protein, I buy already peeled hardboiled eggs at Au Bon Pain. Sure, $1.69 (plus tax) for two eggs is a rip-off, but you can't beat the ease.
The Eggies commercial shows up way too often on the Hallmark Channel. They must've run it at least 50 times during the "Murder She Wrote" marathon last weekend.
I saw this commercial on INSP channel at a restaurant I was at last night. The woman they show struggling with peeling eggs is probably so disabled I would think she can't boil water to even make these work.
Someone that can't peel boiled eggs is going to be able to clean break eggs into the plastic cup? Hell, he idiots would probably try to crack the raw egg on the edge of a counter instead of the top of the counter.
