Yeah, I didn't like her. I didn't like Josiah either.

But Bohemian Rhapsody guy? Shoosh, that was solid.

The only thing Kevin Covais brought was suffering for us listeners. Can we please stick with people that have some semblance of talent?

I guess I'm in the minority. I'd rather not have the goofy guys with zero chance to win on the show. Did you really want to see more broadway cheesefests from Kyle?

That's pretty much what I meant by my post (maybe should have stated the "only interesting thing...."). I certainly didn't mean to infer that Covais (and yes - it was Chicken Little and not Tweety Bird - how quickly I forget) was talented enough that he should have gotten as far as he did. Kyle (?) would have been the geeky guy people liked, but nowhere near the quality to be in the competition - let alone the top 24.

    Yes, yes I did.

I just liked the guy. Well adjusted, good spirit, unique. He would not have won.

I got a kick out of Sanjaya too. I like when a few characters are in the competition. I would have been fine with more Josiah, as that would have been good TV. But I didn't think his "Stand by Me" took guts.

That's exactly what I said when I saw him.

Of course, I think that was the first time I saw him at all. It really sucks for some of the people that have had very little (or no) screen time when it comes to voting next week. People that may have a better story than others get more screen time and perhaps "built-in" voters going into next week.

I liked Kyle as well. My wife said that it was obvious who was going to make it from the final two guys (and was correct), and I told her that I didn't think it was obvious at all. I thought it might be Kyle, and obviously was wrong.

I liked Simon's response to that stupid comment, something like "Everyone has a lot of guts to get up there."

If the guy gets up there, excuses the band, and NAILS it - that takes guts. When the guy gets up there, excuses the band, then lays down a big ol' turd, that's just stupid.

For Josiah in that last round, my vote's for stupid.

I must say, this is quite the good looking group they have this year. rocker chick and carly are the 2 least attractive out of the girls, yet they are dirty hot.

and the guys seem like good looking people as well, as best I can tell.

too early for a final 3 prediction??? considering we haven't heard half the singers... maybe too early... but I think this guy is daughtry good. he'll be solid everytime out. Michael Johns, I think his name is.

I'll be keeping my eye on Kristy Lee Cook and Kady Malloy (who we never saw in "Hollywood" until the 2 seconds of here being told she made it).

So glad Josiah didn't make it. He really annoyed me with his "Stand By Me" performance. Doesn't have a good session rehearsing with the band, gets no sleep (his own fault), blows off the band, then stinks up the joint.

I actually think Simon is dead on right much of the time.
    At least in my opinion.

I actually think the guys are much more talented than the girls.
I do not remember such a solid 24 in a while.

David Archuleta and Michael Johns.....I can't wait to hear more from both of them! I am going with Michael to win it all. Or maybe I just love that song. <grin> In the girls, I like Shyesha.

...and I agree..... there were more than a few who made it I could not remember seeing sing at all.

Isn't that the whole point of the show? Does anyone think that Randy or Paula bring anything to the show?

I actually like that the three judges have their own way of judging the performances. It would be very boring if they were all sweet like Paula or straight forward like Simon. Of course Randy is the only one allowed to say, "I don't know dog, that was a little pitchy for me."

    Randy, sometimes. Paula... not yet.

It's funny when the contestants approach the judges how they really don't give a crap what the other two say, only Simon.
