Is there a plan for TiVo to allow Amazon Streaming (not the Amazon VOD that is already offered)?

I see it is available on other boxes - Roku, Blue-ray, etc. Just wondering if TiVo will eventually get this option or not.

There is a whole thread dedicated to speculating on the answer to your question. Short answer is they are working on it and we expect to see it supported in the near future.

Yes. They confirmed that it is in work on the TiVo Facebook page. MegaZone can probably provide a link.

What really burns me up is that there's an announcement on Amazon.com right now about all these new streaming partners. And they say that their streaming service is available on "over 300 devices." And at the link, it lists TiVo! But the link is actually for "Amazon Instant Video," not "Prime Instant Video."

You'd think that since TiVo was the first company to support Amazon Instant Video that they would have been one of the first that supported the Prime Instant Video. I wonder what the holdup is?

They were also one of the first to support Netflix streaming, but they still don't support their 1080P/5.1 Netflix streaming titles.

Because they add support for things quickly so they can put a logo on the box. Then they just forget about it for years since that was all the seem to care about.

Exactly. They have an Amazon logo already so it doesn't mean much to them to add full functionality. They only make improvements for the logos because their core product is so weak.
