I watched the first episode of Carnival Row. I liked it a lot. Looks like they are spending some money on this show.

It was...decent. And it picked up towards the end.

My two quibbles would be that it was often relentlessly grim (there should be a little more wonder in such a world, and at least a little joy in SOMEBODY'S life!). And the immigration "message" was about as subtle as a sledgehammer. I mean, I agree with them, and I still found it pretty annoying.

I guess three quibbles. Both Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne are talented and likable, but not terribly charismatic, actors. It would have been better with leads who have a little more presence.

I was a little confused as to where exactly Fairyland is. It seemed at times that it was in another world, being invaded by humans from two different worlds. At other times, it seemed like everything was happening on the same world.

I got tired during the Downton Abbey with pixies story line, I may try to watch the rest of episode 1 soon though :).

We're enjoying it. A little unsubtle with the immigrants theme. A little cliche'd, but watchable.

I'm pretty sure it's "The Alienist" with pixies.

I’m one episode in and enjoying it so far.

Hope not. I couldn’t get into The Alienist.

    Sherman...
I was being a little facetious, but the aesthetics seem very similar (wardrobe, etc.), and the main plot in both involves tracking a serial killer -- of course, there are some obvious extra wrinkles in "Carnival Row."

OK, finally finished season 1 and now I'm wondering...
If Imogen and Agreus will meet Arya Stark during their voyage :).
