I think if they are close enough to be in the same wide-shot heading for the mat they would show that. It would be dramatic. They edit it to try to manufacture some drama where none exists.

I have to say that I'm enjoying the harder clues so far this season. There has been a lot more clues that require the teams to figure out where to go instead of just telling them where to go.

I don't remember who it was but I thought it was really funny when the person fell over in their kangaroo suit and dropped all their stuff. The way they were holding it made it seem like it fell out of their "pouch" :D

It was more like this in earlier seasons and it was a recent criticism of the show that they were making it easier now. I think you'll see the teams helping out each other less and less as the filed narrows.

Except when they did break off and finally stopped following Mallory and her dad they got lost looking for the Pit stop. Despite Mallory being a little frantic at times I do still like her. It seems like I am the only one though

The cowboys were dumb at the beginning but they did show that they can make up ground. Despite being on the second flight they ended up 3rd so they passed 4 teams after landing.

My most shocking moment of the episode was when Kent immediately named the two elements. I know nothing about his backgroud but he would have been about the last I would have guessed would have known that.

I do like some of the lines the cowboys come up with. I think one of them after receiving the table of elements told the other "You watch way more discovery channel than I do"

You're not the only one. I think she's a hoot.

I was surprised that none of the other contestants did the other task during the detour. Of course, I don't know how much info they give them in their little pamphlet to describe what needs to be accomplished, but the paint spitting thing seemed so much easier and quicker to accomplish.

I have a list of several teams I'd be happy about winning it. I'd be happy with Gary and Mallory winning. She does get frantic (and it's enjoying to watch), but she's also a good racer.

I was relieved to see the Cowboys catch up. It's hardly the first time an equalizing flight saved someone.

I like Mallory too. And they probably edit it to make it look like she's shrieking all the time, instead of just half the time. ;)

It's really sad people don't know Hg == Mercury.

Why? I consider myself a semi-intelligent man but the last time the periodic table of elements were a part of my day was 30 years ago in high school science class. Kind of hard to remember something that I have not needed to recall for any reason for that many years.

I turned to my husband and asked "Was that KENT who called out the two elements?? Wow he's smarter than I ever gave him credit for!"

Ditto on the sentiment (I guess I could have said that to Duke, but he would have just glanced at me then curled back up in his bed).

I could have sworn just recently Sully tested them out on PitchMen and decided to pass on them. Granted this was filmed awhile back and just recently aired.

In all fairness, you did write "semi-", so it's perfectly fine that you didn't know that. ;)

Oh, cool. $259/pair plus $29 for liners. When my husband saw them on the show he said he wanted a pair. His birthday is coming up. That's a lot to spend on what would probably turn out to be a gag gift, though.
