    This, and
It appears that when they know a bunch up is imminent, they just release the teams at arbitrary times to spread them out, knowing that it won't make any difference in the outcome of the leg.

    People's...
The editing this season is bugging me. No sense of time passing between contestants. The producers should just pull names out of hat and edit the order that way until they meet Phil. ;)

Was Kevin and Dad's cabbie trying to rip them off? I think the cabbie asked for 10,000 rubles which is over $300 American dollars. I know certain cities in Russia are expensive but that is outrageous.

I know some people think Kevin is impatient and criticized his dad too much but come on...besides last task when his dad had the correct direction for the park what did he add to his team.

Team Tattoo needs to go down. Calling your GF a moron..now thats D-Bag material.

That's probably part of the reason the teams were instructed not to have their cabs lead them and that they had to walk certain sections. They probably weren't given enough money to to keep the cabs all day and they weren't meant to keep the meter running that entire time.

The last speed bump was literally 10 minutes, it probably didn't factor in at all so they just didn't show it. Still weird though. And I HATE when they don't tell you how far behind each team was the previous leg. Not liking this season overall.

This is the first time I remember seeing someone bring out the whole pack of clues. The dad (from kevin & dad) had a whole bunch of them when they were going over them at the end.

Great point - I hadn't put that all together, and was wondering why they were short money.

Counter point though is a few teams (dad and daughter for example) went back to the bridge to get their cab (and some even left their packs in those cabs) and they were not shown having a problem paying the drivers.

So why couldn't they splice in Phil's voice explaining why there was no Speed Bump instead of making their audience wonder (or even worse, making the audience think the team was getting an unfair advantage)? Makes no sense to keep us in the dark like that.

Because the vast majority wouldn't notice or care. If they admit on air that there was a judging mistake and they had to let Nick and Vicki stay on the show due to that mistake, it will create speculation every time someone is saved at a non-elim. Further, it will cause people to question how the show has operated in the past. Better to just brush it under the rug, realize that a very, very small minority of viewers will notice and an even smaller minority will care enough to find out the reason, and basically just move on.

I don't know, I would think their loyal viewers would know and raise stink, enough to question the legitimacy of the show. A simple disclaimer that there was a judging error would have sufficed. They've done this before IRC, where they mentioned that there was an error in how a team did a certain task and they were held back at the start of the next leg. Stuff like that. Sweeping it under the rug and basically "changing the rules" seems to create more speculation, doesn't it?

Get over it. What he posted was barely spoilerific.

    Re: Speed bump.

Remember Phil didn't say anything about Speed bump when the last team arrived last therefore there is no speed bump for them.

That doesn't mean anything. Phil could have said it and then they simply edited it out when they decided not to show the speed bump in the next episode.

But the real reason for no speed bump has already been discussed in this thread.

Screw that, we need to maintain spoiler discipline. That's what makes this such a great TV forum.

How about Phil getting knocked off those wooden pieces?

That was kinda brave of him. That stick would really hurt a shin. Yeoouch!!!

I wish they made it so that the other teammate had to stand on a platform like Phil did - especially with the way that Stephanie was throwing that stick.

I definitely wouldn't want to stand there while Gary was throwing. That guy seemed to think he was trying to out-duel Nolan Ryan in a fastball contest.

I'd agree if it was really a spoiler but hey whatever floats your boat.
