Howdy all, My wife and I are getting our first HDTV, and are looking at getting a Tivo to go along with it (I had a nice hacked DTivo before we got married, but didn't bring the dss service to the new house...anyone want to buy it? ). I see that Amazon has the 300-hour Series 3 unit for $599 before rebate, $399 afterwards: http://www.amazon.com/TiVo-TCD648250B-Series3-Digital-Recorder/dp/B000I661J0/ I'm a bit out of the loop on developments. This seems like a good deal, but if there is a new unit coming by the end of the year, we can hold off. I read about a possible offering from Comcast (our provider here in Houston), but know to stay away from their current DVR offering. Any advice y'all have would be greatly appreciated!
