    Hello. I recently saw this guide online but there are not any instructions on how to do this. Can anybody tell me how to reverse engineer this?

    Why bother? TiVo stopped supporting Series 1 models several years ago. Even with lifetime service it's just a doorstop without guide data.

    Because I see this video and I want to know how to replicate it on my TiVo.

    Booting from 2 separate hard drives (like in the video) is no longer possible on Roamio and newer units. Reason being that these TiVos use on-board flash storage for OS and other critical boot data.
